Very classy, the waiters were attentive and polite. The food was great and fresh, will recommend to anyone that wanted to catch up with loved ones as is a treat and touch of class. Will 100% recommend ?

Very poor, the sandwiches were soggy and poor quality. Not a premium experience and poor value for money.

Went for Afternoon Tea for somewhere that is supposedly a 5 star hotel I would not recommend this place. Overall underwhelming in all aspects, food was ok but slightly stale bread for the sandwiches, cakes were not good and apparently not made in house, service was ok no one was rude but also wasn't very helpful, would be told to wait in the bar area for our table but not shown where it was and we would have been left there waiting if we hadn't asked a different server about it (booked for 3pm table was ready at 3.35). Drinks menu also incredibly underwhelming and cocktails are overpriced for what you got. Just overall not the kind of experience you'd expect from somewhere that's claiming to be 5 stars.

We had the 3 course meal deal with sparkling wine. We really enjoyed the starter and mains but the desert needs a little tweaking to compliment the first two courses. Portions were good as was the service overall.
Good value for money

I would not recommend others to have afternoon tea here, in fact I don?t think the hotel should even offer it as it?s not worthy of being an appropriate offering. We visited using a gift voucher for my birthday. The lounge itself is basically in the reception area, there?s no efficient air conditioning so it?s extremely hot (so much so that one lady fainted while we were there), and no kind of ambience or live music playing (harpist/pianist) like you get at all other hotels. The food itself is completely average/poor and uninspired with no theme like the hotels location or heritage, we weren?t offered any extra sandwiches either which is generally standard. To make it worse- the restaurant only serves chapel down sparkling wine with their teas, but because our voucher said ?afternoon tea with sparkling? they opened a cheap bottle of prosecco and gave us a glass of that instead of chapel down - We just laughed about it and thought how low/cheap could you go. I can?t believe the hotel charge £65 each for this tea, instead next door there are far far superior options for a small amount more. The hotel is also not very responsive or flexible with booking times, we emailed to move our tea earlier and never got a response.

Not worthy of a five star hotel in central London. Service friendly but not elevated, food for afternoon tea was mediocre, and furnishings felt quite off for the space. It sounded like many people in the lounge were there on a discounted voucher. On the plus side, the table can order a mix of cream tea and afternoon tea - doesn?t all have to be the same.

Great service and ambience but so disappointed with the afternoon tea. Not on a par with the many teas had in other hotels. Food was straight from the fridge and not room temperature. The finger sandwich bread was very thin and the cucumber sandwiches were not good. The filled scones were hard and we sent two back. Was not impressed with the quality or quantity compared to other hotels. Staff worked hard and the company was good but wouldn't recommend it.

Our server was Olena, and she was the sweetest! Excellent service and she made the experience even more magical and fun.
