The crown jewel of East Finchley! Community cinema with a truly independent feel. Still standing strong against hatred. The iconic neon lights have been shining white and blue for weeks!

Well done to the Phoenix Cinema for upholding freedom of expression and art by hosting an Israeli film festival. And shame on Ken Loach and Mike Leigh for trying to silence the voices of Israeli artists. Why don't they criticise China or Syria or Iran? Cowards to go for a small, independent cinema trying to serve its community. Which it does, brilliantly.

I went to see a film shown about a boy who survived living in the forest and the story is about his experience

I would not even give them one star if I could.
Terrible cinema that air racist films.
They support apartheid and genocide of Palestinian people.
No humanity!

A beautiful, cosy atmospheric cinema, with original seating and features. Do not expect soft reclining seats or sofas- these are wooden seats covered with cushioned upholstery, old style. A nice bar and café serves drinks and snacks. Worth visiting and supporting this independent establishment.

Lovely independent cinema. Have been coming here for years. Service sometimes a little slow. Not sure why it seems to be so empty so often. Would be great if they could really fill the auditorium.

The staff are nice but the clients are terribly old and the type that are uneducated and not global, the type that complain because you are having popcorn next to them. I would avoid and rather go to Central London.

A gem of a local cinema. Has great selection of movies from new releases to kids programs and old classics.Comfy but older style seats, better snacks and drinks then multiplexes and very friendly staff.
