Pavilion is one of my favourite cafés in East London. Located in the heart of Victoria Park, Pavillion offers some of the best pastries in town. They specialise in Sri Lankan food and have a unique breakfast menu. I had the Sri Lankan roti and dal which was absolutely perfect, extra points for fresh curry leaves!
What makes Pavilion even more special are the staff at the cafe who are super friendly. Huge shout out to Sam who made us feel very welcome!
If you?re visiting soon, would highly recommend trying the cardamom and turmeric buns.

After being served by LILY, I have regained my faith in good service. She was the warmest and most competent server I?ve had in a long time. Coffee you can get anywhere, good service is a needle in a haystack.

Absolutely delicious brunch plate. I felt so nourished and satiated after this, well balanced and nutritious. Perfect fuel for a day out and about. Nice setting too in the park overlooking the lake. Easy to find.

Rude and disrespectful cashier/waitress, I have experienced a terrible service from all the staff serving at the till today which happened to be all females at the time I was served. I was disrespected by one of them, and brought that to the attention of her colleague which instead of addressing the failure in service, she covered up her unacceptable behaviour. Could not be more disappointed. Despicable customer service and oblivious attitude towards customer neglect.

Breathtaking view of the lake with various birds including herrings fluttering around. The Srilankan breakfast tasted so great and with the view the whole experience couldn?t have been better, definitely coming again.
