The service was nice, and the atmosphere is your normal quaint bakery. The pastries looked appetizing in the window, but unfortunately weren?t the best. I got a croissant, a pastel de nata, and an apricot pastry; all of which were very dry and didn?t have much flavor. I ordered at 10am, so you would think they would still be fresh. The coffee was pretty good. I would recommend trying any of the other great bakeries in the area instead of this one.

To be fair, we paid 5? on top of the price for eating in, while they didn?t even gave as the chance to take away. They directly charged us the price to eat in.EACH SINGLE ITEM HAS A EAT IN PRICE.The Sandwich has 1,5? ON TOP OF THE PRICE for eating in!! That?s corny?Worst ambience ever, traffic outside, tables not clean, machines sound very loud.They didn?t even gave us an eating tray. Ridiculous to charge SO much on top of the price to eat in on a place that is NO comfortable!!Food really standard, nothing outstanding.

A very friendly restaurant, they are very energetic, come here for breakfast, their energy will make you happy all day long. The other one should be his store manager, who just greets people with a smile.

Amazing bakery. Croamssaints and pain au chocolat were sublime. Sandwiches are very good too well worth a visit if in the area.

One star becuase they keep putting the bread out on the shelf without any covering - so people just cough, sneeze, and fart all over the ?fresh? produce. Move the bread away, behind the counter!

Ordered two croque monsieurs and black coffees. £20 and the toasties were cold. Took them back. Now they?re lukewarm. There are paper napkins on the floor and flies in the air. All the crockery is paper - toasties served in a brown bag, no knives. Not at all what I?d expect from a Paul?s. Someone doesn?t seem to care.

Visited on 2nd November for breakfast, whilst the baguettes and pastries were of high quality the service from the server was not, very curt in her approach to customers and seemed not wanting to be there, the other server had far better customer service

Another Paul (this time Paul Gloucester Road) another disappointing latte & Flat white. No coffee aroma on neither of the coffee we ordered because it was not made to perfection the way it meant to be made.Paul must be franchising, otherwise, why on earth the quality is dropping.For the sake of the business please train your team the art of coffee making.

Hello I was here today. I am a regular costumer and in general I'm satisfied. However, today there were about 8 people behind the counter serving - unusual, I assume they were being trained - the service was messy and I had to repeat several times what I wanted. I had a jambon et fromage croissant, one quiche and a slice of chocolate cake. I order an americano to have with it... I asked the croissant and the quiche to be warmed up; had to ask not to be on the microwave, not the first time I had to ask for that here, (I don't have to explain why anyone can imagine what it does to it). The person attending me got a bit lost but with some difficulty warmed it up properly on the toaster. I asked for an americano not too full and not too watery, had to repeat it several times as the response was yes but clearly not understanding what I've asked when I ask if he understood. The result was that the coffee was a full cup with black watery coffee... fortunately another person stepped in to correct the mistake and apologise.... What normally is a decent service - you get the odd attendent with a long face not having a good day, you know how it is, but does the job - I don't understand if this a particular bad experience on this day. I will come back another time; if persistes I will no longer be a costumer. We must post reviews so eventually the people behind the brands know what is going on in their shops. If I was in charge I would like to know. The good and the not so good... The good of course is that the offer is always attractive and delicious.

Confusing experience here. Yesterday I got a plate and fork. Today I was told there are no plates and eating a croissant from a bag is not ideal. Also unable to print receipts. Very strange experience. Surely Paul can provide plates and forks everyday? The croissant was nice though.

I ordered a cappuccino and quiche Lorraine and specified to 'eat in' and was given the quiche in a bag. I said - "I want to eat it here can I have a plate?" and was told "We don't have plates". I also had to ask for a fork and got the impression this was an unusual request. When I got the quiche out of the bag and tried to use it as a makeshift plate, I realized it was cold (I hadn't been asked if I wanted it heated but assumed it was warm), so had to put it back in the bag and take it back to the counter. Although the quiche and coffee were good, it takes the edge off trying to eat from a brown paper bag. Isn't it more eco friendly to use plates than waste all that paper? Also you need a couple of extra paper napkins too as it is messier.

The Paul, a chain like Starbucks in the US, but feels more upscale. The pastries are definitely better/fresher. The coffee - soso (3 star). This location is between a bunch of hotels and the tube station so its jammed with tourists, like me, in the morning.
