A favorite staple when I travel. Staff remembered my order after just 3 visits.

I visited Paul Bakery in Canary Wharf today. I have to admit the sandwich is delicious, the experience was spoiled by the staff?s attitude. The service was unexpectedly rude and impolite, which made me feel unwelcome. Good food deserves to be matched with good customer service, and unfortunately, that was missing here.

I had a lovely experience at PAUL today that truly lifted my spirits. My daughter asked for some water, and the kind staff member not only gave her water but also surprised her with a complimentary croissant. It was such a thoughtful gesture that completely turned around what had started as a rather gloomy day.
The staff were incredibly friendly, and everything we had was fresh and delicious?as always. Just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to the team. Moments like this remind me how small kindnesses can make a big difference.
Thank you again to the lovely gentleman at the counter ? you truly made our day!

The desserts are delicious, especially the pistachio macarons and the very authentic canelés. The staff is full of smiles and very friendly. It?s definitely a café worth visiting again!?

The staff here are still brilliant - always friendly and helpful, no complaints there at all.
But, PAUL has really gone downhill in recent years. The cakes and pastries are still decent enough, but the coffee is absolutely awful: bitter, stale, and barely drinkable - you'd have to actively try to make coffee this bad. What makes it even worse is that you've got GAIL's, WatchHouse, Grind, and 640East all right next door, and they're all fantastic. The difference is embarrassing.
PAUL used to be great, but they've clearly been expanding like mad and it shows; they've obviously prioritised opening more locations over maintaining quality. When you're surrounded by such good competition, this kind of decline is just asking for trouble.
With GAIL's just a 5-minute walk away offering vastly better coffee and bakery options, it's hard to see why anyone would choose this place anymore.

Rude AND incompetent. A dangerous combination.

Not a great experience because we didn't know the conditions for the meal deal which is take-away only. Thought the staff were very impatient. Can of coke was not even cold but no way I was taking it back to be changed. Obviously more expensive to eat in for an average sandwich. Lesson learned, wouldn't go there again, that's for sure.

I used to enjoy visiting this shop as the food is tasty and the staff were amazing.
Now the staff are terrible, they just wait at the till or stand talking, even if you waiting to be served, 9 times out of 10 you would have to go to the till otherwise you won't be served.
Some serious customer service training is needed.

Asians are not counted as human being. We have been ignored for 15 mins with a number of WHITE customer jumping the queue; thanks for letting us know this is your view for Asian customers. Enjoy yourself.

Disappointing and Rude Customer Service at Paul?s Café, Canary Wharf.
I had a very unpleasant experience at Paul?s Café in Canary Wharf today. When I tried to use a Three voucher for a £1 Coffee Network, the staff member who served me was extremely rude and dismissive. Made me feel as if I am begging!, absolutely disgusting experience...
The way I was spoken to was totally unacceptable and ruined what should have been a simple coffee stop. I understand that not all staff may be aware of certain promotions, but there?s absolutely no excuse for such a lack of courtesy and respect. I hope the management takes this seriously and addresses staff behaviour, as this kind of treatment leaves a lasting negative impression.

Just been here with a friend. Went in around 6pm as it said open till 8pm on the door.
No one at the counter mentioned anything about eat in only till 7pm.
Sat down with our coffee and snack when a waiter came over at 6.30 and said the seating area was closing in half n hr.
Then at 7 he came again and said seating area is now closed.
When I questioned why they hadn't mentioned it at the entrance, he actually said this is custom in the the UK ?
And while he was still talking to us, a guy from the counter (probably the manager) shouted to him saying he didn't owe anyone an explanation.
I was appalled by this behaviour. I understand businesses in some places have different opening times but they should make it clear to customers. Or atleast be apologetic for not clarifying when taking our order.
Very poor arrogant service. Will never go there again.
