Papi mixes the freshest of produce with ingenious flavor combinations! It?s all plated beautifully and served with a friendly smile. The cucumber dish is a must, and so is the corn with the garlic butter! Do not skip the dessert because there is no better way to end the meal at Papi ??

I like Papi and really didnt want to leave a bad review but on balance I left feeling ripped off. I knew it was going to be pricey for small plates but what really got me was that some of the plates skimped on important ingredients - a tuna dish which was mostly tomatoes and almost no tuna (maybe one square inch cut into very small cubes); and a crab dish that had almost NO crab in it - seriously we had to fork through the sauce to find a few small shreds of crab. It just felt unncessarily stingey. Service was lovely and the atmosphere very nice but that couldnt make up for feeling ripped off by some dishes.

As much as I was excited to finally try on Papi restaurant, as much I?ve been disappointed of my experience there. We started with the £1 Oysters and we can?t really complain on such a bargain.
My partner and I ordered a main + a salad. That?s when things get messy. His plate has been served while I?ve been waiting 15+ minutes for my fish to arrive. There?s nothing worse to spend an evening out for dinner but not being able to eat together? It would have been so simple to get the fish ready first to serve it with the vegetables main of my partner and the side salad we ordered.
The staff were cute but the experience was already ruined?

Been to Papi a few times now and it?s probably my favourite restaurant in London. Not only do I always try something totally new, basically everything on the menu is something interesting and tempting. It?s harder to narrow down an order if anything.
Had a fantastic time on Saturday 31/05. The food was great as always, but what really put it over the top was the wine pairing. Elitsa really put together a sensational custom pairing for each dish. You could tell she really thought about what each dish had going on and what each wine could bring out of it - it wasn?t like what they do at bigger, arguably more acclaimed restaurants. It was totally unique and eleveted each dish - as it should. It was probably the best pairing I have ever had, and I?ve had a few!
Of course, I should give some props to the team who orders the wine - they do a fantastic job of finding truly unique (and delicious) wines. Nothing is cookie cutter here.
If you want a high end dining experience without the pretense - this is the place.

A new favourite around London Fields. Really creative cooking, fun service, and a wine list that any east London eatery would desire. In fact, I?m still thinking about the fried chicken and caviar.
One super minor piece of feedback: I think it would be good if the plates came out in a slightly more considered fashion. I understand the small plates concept, but we were served bread last.

Were here 3 days ago.
Food was ok, but for the price it was well overrated.
No introduction of the dishes and we were done in 1 hour.
The place is very loud so we left fast.
Nice wines.
