I visited the pharmacy today, an establishment I've been patronizing for years, but sadly, my recent encounter left me disheartened. Despite waiting for assistance, the staff failed to acknowledge me until a white man entered, prompting them to prioritize his needs over mine. I had to assert my presence, clarifying that I was there first. The new set of female staff members comes across as dismissive and quite rude, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. It's disheartening when a place you once trusted becomes unwelcoming. Consideration for all customers, regardless of race, should be a fundamental principle for any business. Considering my experience, I'm contemplating switching to another pharmacy where I feel genuinely valued.

I ran out of one of my medication on Sunday without realising and sent a request to my GP surgery on Sunday. I usually get a text within 48 hours to say that the medication is ready for collection. However as I hadn?t received the text I called the pharmacy only to be told it?s out of stock and they won?t be able get any at all. I asked why I wasn?t informed of this and the person told me ?we don?t text to let you know if we can?t fill your prescription?!!!! If I had known this earlier or yesterday I would have gone back to my GP to get the request sent to another chemist. I am now 3 days without this particular medication. I called my GP and they informed that I should call the pharmacy and ask them to call the surgery which I did. I asked the pharmacist who then sent a text to say he couldn?t reach the surgery. This was after he tried to say that they are far too busy to text ppl to let them know their meds are out of stock because they busy talking to other drug stockists!!! I then rang the surgery backand through to got to them very quickly. I bet he never even tried to call them. The surgery gave me a code that I could use at a chemist of my choice to obtain my medication. I was further told the pharmacist could have given this code to me. Every-time I go in the chemist there is always a queue or no one at the counter and you have to wait until they decide to come out to serve you. One older lady working there is very dismissive and always looks at you as if you are bothering her. I will not be going back in there and have changed my nominated chemist. Unhelpful, poor service and staff not very welcoming.

A great local pharmacy. The staff are always very helpful. I agree with a previous review that their dedication to the community should be rewarded with all neighbours taking their business to them.

Pleasant local pharmacy. Has a village feel to it. The pharmacists - *especially* Darragh, makes time for you.. and is friendly and attentive. He remembers my face, and sometimes even goes to get order before I?ve reached the counter :) so super efficient - even when it?s busy, he never seems too stressed. Darragh always greets me and asks how I and the family are, and is genuine and listens..makes you feel better when you are low.The shop could do with a little sprucing up, but that is the only minor downside. The main reason I go there is for collecting prescriptions anyway. And it is my preferred pharmacy rather than Boots across the road. So, overall it?s very good.Because of the moody and unsmiling till assistant, who has no customer services skills this is a 4/5 instead of 5/5.

I prefer this pharmacy to Boots any day. However, with that being said, it does depend on who you get at the front. It could be a helpful younger girl or an older woman that I find a bit dismissive and not caring. Also, if pharmacies were open on Sundays it would be helpful as there are none that are open in the area!

This is a family run business and all the better for it. I cannot praise these people enough. Their dedication and service to the community should be recognised and rewarded.
