It?s a little gem, hidden in an old building. Superb choice of teas and coffees - all homemade cakes and outstanding quality of food on offer. Very dog friendly, (provided water and treats :) Certainly will come again! Ideal for kids parties.

I had a lovely lunch with son In the café today it was delicious. My two dogs were very welcome and then they had Hendon Park to run around. They also have a greenhouse and gardens where volunteers working and produce food for the café. I highly recommend.

We hosted a birthday party for two six year olds this weekend - we organised a pottery workshop for 15 kids, followed by a birthday tea.
The pottery session was fab - really well pitched for 6 year olds and very well organised!
Marta and the team at Clitterhouse are so friendly and helpful - they communicated well in the run up and hosted such a nice party for us.
The food is delicious - everything is homemade, fresh and abundant - and we took home our leftovers.
We paid a small corkage fee to bring in some drinks for the parents.
The space has such a lovely, easy feel - it?s a real community space so rough around the edges (don?t expect a pristine party venue) but charming and open, with the wonderful community gardens down one side of the main building. The kids loved riding all the communal bikes and trikes after.
The afternoon was also amazing given most of the staff are volunteers. Feels really nice to know that the cost of the party package is supporting the development of such a lovely community space
Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options and everything is wholesome and homemade
Parking: As we hired the space for a party we brought our car in. It is more difficult to park in the surrounding roads as many are residents only even at the weekend. The bus stops right out side though.
Kid-friendliness: Perfect for kids! Very open and relaxed. We had a party food menu which included hot dogs, wraps, veg + dips and an amazing homemade mac & cheese.

Local coffee shop with a range of breakfast: shakshuka, pasta, toasties, etc. all home cooked with local ingredients. A family run business with a good atmosphere.

Very pleased to have hosted our son's 7th Birthday at "Our Yard" last weekend. Marta ensured the planning process ran very smoothly. On the day Billie prepared some wonderful woodland activities for the children, and created the most brilliant plastic free party bags full of activities for the children. The team on the day were warm, calm and professional. The food and cake were all delicious and the atmosphere is lovely. Would recommend for parties. Thank you all

Really impressed with our food when we visited for lunch today. Our Yard is a great café in a converted old building. We had Shakshuka and Mac & Cheese, both excellent! Then carrot cake & orange/almond cake, both superb! Fantastic service too. Highly recommended, will definitely return.

The staff, all volunteers, I understand were lovely. I had many questions and the young man at the till answered them all. He was knowledgeable and patient. Our coffee was good and not at a bitter and our pain au chocolate was good, but really good. The shop was quiet but constant. I was very happy there. They are only open 3 days a week for now. They are looking for volunteers in shop, kitchen and garden. There is no parking at the shop but free street parking is very close by. I enjoyed hearing about the history of the buildings and area from before, during and after WW2. What a fascinating place. Do give it a try. They also have vegan and about 6 different types of dairy and non dairy milkKid-friendliness: I saw tricycles in the shop for children I did not ask if they were for customers use though

I'm so pleased that I discovered this amazing place. It is so tranquil away from the hussle and bussle of everyday life. Fantastic place to bring kids and to meet a friend for lunch. The food is delicious and they make the best coffee in town. Check out the lovely gardens along side the cafe and there are lots of different workshops, catering for everyone's tastes.

A rare gem - worth travelling for! This place offers a real sense of community, which I just haven't found anywhere else in London. The people are so welcoming, the atmosphere is relaxed, they serve the best coffee & cake, and grow their own veg in the garden! Best of all they host a whole range of creative workshops (acrylic pouring, watercolours, eco printing, textiles, mosaics, soap making, etc.) and other activities for both adults and kids, as well as night markets with food & drinks, live music and craft stalls - keep a look out on their website and socials!Vegetarian options: Thai pumpkin soup, carrot & lentil soup, lentil dhal, shakshuka.. all delicious options, served with amazing rustic sourdough toast.
