Superb cinema experience, with a restaurant serving decent food, plus a cocktail bar serving drinks to enjoy at your table, or whilst watching a film.

Cinema is great

Cinema is amazing, highly recommended BUT do not ruin a good movie by going to the cafe, our waitress was charmless and obstinate and the service was unbearably slow.

Love this place. Seats are so comfy, screening rooms not too big. Never feels uncomfortably busy. Absolutely love seeing films here

Great historic location which is now a very cool restaurant downstairs, a members club upstairs and an artsy cinema as well. The photos are from the restaurant and the members club. I was invited by a member and the upstairs section is not open to the public I think. The food was excellent and the vice is great. The menu is the same downstairs and upstairs.

The food is mediocre at best and service is hit and miss. This applies to both The Members Club and The Cafe. Do not go to either of these if you want good quality food. It is also overpriced for what you get which is consistently poor. It is local to me and having been many times to the café to experience lunch being poor and then occasionally to the Members Club where it is also actually worse, it really is not worth the time or money. If you want a disappointing experience this is where to go.

So sad to see how the food offering has deteriorated over the last couple of years. The restaurant is still an attractive space and so convenient for a night out at the cinema. But the menu is very short now and uninspiring. Very poor standard of cooking. Dined there last Saturday evening. The chicken Caesar salad consisted of a few chopped up lettuce leaves, a flavourless dressing and a large handful of croutons. Couldn?t find the chicken at first as it consisted of just tiny cubes which looked just like the croutons. All the ingredients were chilled straight from the fridge and tasted of nothing at all. The ?butcher?s cut? was said by the waitress to be beef bourgignon but turned out to be a tough old lump of ox cheek in a watery sauce. A couple of weeks earlier the beef burger was inedible. And served without any tomato, guerkin, onion etc, and only the thinnest smear of cheese. It?s still worth visiting for a drink, but not to eat.

Posh cinema experience with food and drinks available at your seat. Really comfortable and super pleasant team working there.

Just love this independent cinema and cafe. It was my first visit and won?t be my last. A great movie and a meal outing. ??
