In my opinion one of, if not THE, most beautiful market in London. Simply a beautiful atmosphere. Lots of culinary selection, great clothes and other ideas. I like to go here any time.

The still-hip covered market is just a stone's throw from Liverpool Street station. 'Spittle Fields' was created as a market through the permission of the Stuart kings Charles I (1638) and Charles II (1682) to sell meat, vegetables and fruit in this then rural area just outside the city. Over time, the area attracted a large number of immigrants: Huguenot silk weavers, Irish cotton weavers, Jews fleeing pogroms & immigrants from Bangladesh, who completely changed the face of the district that would soon become part of London. The actual market building dates from the time of Queen Victoria and was opened in 1893 after eight years of construction. Today you can no longer find any of the former market people there, but rather a variety of craft stalls, design labs (first hand/vintage), coffee & street food shops and the usual retailers. The hall is open all week long, but it is extremely colorful and full to capacity, especially on weekends.
