Almost an hour wait, not because there was a queue, reason one staff only to serve and that one member was opening a bank account which took close to an hour.
Rest two members were chatting and on phones. Well-appointed and managed Bank. Next steps are to move the bank locker to another location as this is unacceptable.

I needed help to reset my online banking details, as I needed to activate the Metro app on a new phone. I was lucky that nobody was waiting, but Shazna got me the help I needed within 1 minute. Good, uncomplicated, fast and friendly service.

I have never in all my working life had such an awful frightening experience with a bank. I went into this branch on 10 February 2025 chasing up the £70 compensation which was agreed with the financial ombudsman in may 2024 and never credited to my account. After wasting the best part of a hour I finally got this £70. Then I said I had been refunded £129 on 25 February 2025 but not returned to my account I was told to contact the merchant again even though I had contacted them three times. The following week I returned to the same branch having not received this refund. I was informed by the fraud team that the branch manager should have raised a dispute the previous week which he did not . Finally 16 days later I received my refund from Metro having held it for 16 days my own personal money . The rudeness, verbal and physical abuse I received on this branch and another London branch was shocking. I have switched now to Lloyd?s and would never recommend such a terrible rude disrespectful bank. If the choice was no stars it would be more appropriate.

Team is better than other Metro Banks...but is unfortunately let down by lack of staff capable of opening accounts and a system which takes over an hour to open an account?So after three attempts I've given up and gone with an alternative instead (which took minutes to set up!)How does a bank survive if they can't even open accounts?

Well staffed but not well run & some staff don't seem to know what they're doing. Had to return few weeks after opening an account to fix an issue; made to wait endlessly for the one manager who was apparently able to do simple task most other banks allow you to do online yourself

I had the most wonderful help from Nirvana when I visited the branch in Cheapside today and yesterday. She really went the extra mile in assisting me. Shazna, assistant manager of the branch was also very supportive finding the right solution for me.

I was attracted to joining Metro Bank almost 9 years ago. This was because of their banking hours and the fact that you could deal with a "human" easily.Sadly post covid if you need to go into the bank there is a lack of tellers available at peak times and when you complain sadly they are not interested that you may have waited excessive amounts of time.Most of my banking is done using the mobile app which is fantastic so there is no need for a human. However today I need to find out a simple question about mobile banking as information on line is not consistent with what happens.I was directed to Ayda the virtual assistant who was useless - Metro bank I am now trying to contact a branch and still waiting in excess of 10 mins to speak to someone.It seems you have joined the big 4 with customer service how sad this makes me feel. You clearly need more staff investment.

I was a bit nervous about going to this metro bank as people were saying the staff were not great HOWEVER I had an AMAZING experience.The man I spoke to was really kind and got me what I needed within literally less than 5 minutes. And even went the extra mile and got me an envelope.I don?t understand the negative feedback in the reviews, the place was clean, service fast and efficient and as far as I?m concerned it was an amazing experience.I went during the busiest time in the day as well, not a long que. Multiple people helping as well.Definitely my new favourite location!!!!

Staff need extra training as they don?t know how to do lots of actions. 3 people per n the desk but only 1 person able to help all 3 customers. I asked the staff member to check with the manager when they would be free to help. I could hear the manager say I don't know when I'll be free, I can only see one customer at a time. I was then advised to ask the manager directly if I had anymore queries. As the manger knew I had hear her comment I declined as she was so abrupt.
