1 star for the rude manager at the Hammersmith branch. I was speaking to a lovely lady at the front desk today who was trying to help me with my issue. She asked the manager who was answering both his colleague and myself with short, rude and unhelpful answers, not even bothering to make eye contact, turning around and doing something else when talking to me so I couldn?t even hear what he was saying, and generally acting like he would rather be doing anything but helping a customer, or talking to his colleague for that matter. His final answer was to blame the problem on another company, which it so very clearly wasn?t. Then he just walked off into another room. I felt terrible for the woman working at the desk who literally looked scared of this man. It doesn?t take a lot to be courteous to the people around you.

Not impressed with Metro. My 16 year old tried to open a bank account. I went with my him. Passport alone should have been sufficient. However, we were told this was not accepted because he was not born in the UK, even though he has a British passport, issued in the UK. He went back the next day with 3 x proof of address. including official letters HMRC with his NI number. Again, he was told this wasn't sufficient. He went to another bank and they opened him an account on the spot, no issues. Very poor show Metro bank and having read the reviews I feel a lucky escape. Would have given 0 stars if I could have.

My sons account was hacked and £4000 stolen online the person seem to have the ability to make a copy of his card. They have never refunded him his money despite consistently communicating with their fraud department. Very insensitive bunch of people. Extreme time wasters with no empathy. DONT BANK WITH METRO STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I suspect that it maybe possible that the fraudster works for metro period

Time wasters! When I called for appointment,they said walk in is fine. Than many excuses let me waiten 2 hours,end of long wait they did not sort any problem I ask for their help. Unprofessional staff, worst bank experience ever

They were new and innovative. Now they've fallen so far behind they have useless app that means you have to call them for just about everything. I'll most likely be leaving Metro

For the third time had to go in to sort out a problem the same one staff quite rude left without resolution and have to go back again spent over 40 mins each time used to be good service

I gave my husband my metro bank card, photographic ID and a cheque to be paid into the account. The cashier threatened to seize my documents and therefore my husband had to go next door to Natwest to pay the cheque in. Metrobank is actually a good bank but doesn?t have main account qualities yet.
