ABSOLUTELY AVOID for these reasons:1- they mis-sell some items that they can't provide2- customer service looks good at the beginning but then they don't acknowledge when they went wrong on some things and don't even try fix issues with reasonable solutions3- they deliver items to the wrong address and don't cover for the cost of having to schedule another delivery by yourself4- expensive for what it is in reality (just spent more than £18k for a very simple kitchen, excluding the worktop!)5- completely fake "amazing" discounts while they take you for a patsy6- quotes are never clear so that you are lost in what is needed or not

The experience with the sales team at the Essex Road branch was great ... until payment.Then issues started to arise (e.g. oven sent at the wrong address, kitchen elevation not in line with our order, missing pieces).The responses we got from the team were underwhelming and at times mocking. For example, our sales rep advised us to get missing parts at Howdens for kitchen elevation. I had never been advised in the past to go to the competition to provide for a non-delivered service. The excuse given was that the sales person had been wrongly advised by the technical team.We are still in the process of trying to get reimbursed for services not provided, but it is a very long road...

I purchased an expensive kitchen from Magnet and within 6 months the bases of the units started to 'fray'. I wrote to them and after many weeks finally got a reply that said it was my own fault and likely due to 'water damage'. Firstly, I do not clean with a mop on the floor and only use a cloth that's well rinsed - so this is just not possible. Also the fray/splitting is happening on units that are nowhere near the sink. This fraying started 6 months after the kitchen was put in so you'd expect they would send someone out to address this. The units are cheap chipboard, so regardless of the fact that I spent a lot on getting the more expensive style and design, with expensive minerva worktops, it started fraying badly at the bases of the units - that's the reason: cheap chipboard. I was well within the warranty period when the fraying started and they choose to do nothing - apart from offering to send me a panel to replace the frayed (now breaking apart) panels but I'd have to pay for this to be fixed myself... How can this be right or ethical? This sort of 'warranty' cover is not worth the paper it's written on. Stay well clear of this company. I really hope by leaving this review, Magnet review their warranty policies, and improve the quality of their kitchens too and show some care for customers. Do not buy from them if you want a kitchen that looks good beyond 6 months of instalment.

Great service received at Islington/Essex Road branch.Danielle 's professional approach to every aspect of the service that Magnet Kitchen provided us was outstanding. I would definitely recommend anyone to let this branch take care of their kitchen project.

Nice kitchens, but very poor service. We came here for an appointment to discuss a new kitchen. The designer was not very helpful and was not able to offer meaningful support. We felt like we were shopping blind.For example, they were not able to explain what the cost difference would be between laminate and granite worktops. They just said "choose what you want and we'll price it up at the end".The quote came over several days later at £40k !!!! We didn't bother going back to them.We went to Wickes on Tottenham Court Road instead and received a MUCH better service - and went with them instead.

I can?t comment on the design output or the ordering process but I attended a meeting and discussed requirements and have been waiting over 2 months for the design to be produced and have emailed and called to chase a number of times but no response from Danielle.Really disappointed.

Absolutely disappointing andunprofessional customer service- do not waste your time and money. I made such big mistake of ignoring some negative comments before the purchase.

Been here a few times for advise and for a design consultation. The lady was quite huffy and rude as we were spending quite a bit of time deciding on fixtures and figuring out the design which is a very normal part of the process I should think. As for the prices ?.they are extortionate! We were looking for a higher spec kitchen and set aside a budget but in all honesty this place just isn?t it.

Don?t waste your time. After attending an appointment over 1 month ago, they ?forgot? to follow up with a quote. When I called a week later, they said the quote was ?stuck in outbox and would be sent today?. After another two weeks of no email or replies, they said they couldn?t find our quote and didn?t have evidence of our visit. Since that point, they haven?t answered their phone. Overall really bad experience and will be going with another provider for our home renovation.

DO NOT buy from Magnet - you will only waste your money and time. Our experience with the Islington branch has been terrible to say the least. Very rarely am I compelled to write a negative review, as issues happen, but in this instance we have no choice. Utterly shocking customer service. We had a kitchen installed over one year ago and we're still having issues that are unresolved from when it was originally fitted. A pantry door that won't shut for over a year, a cracked worktop, units generally fitted incorrectly to name but a few. It wouldn't be so much of an issue if the customer service were any good at their job, but over a year of chasing, replies that took months to hear back, rude staff / store managers who clearly had no idea what they were doing. We only received a reply and a date for resolution once we escalated to the head office, and even then, after monhts of waiting, the fitter turned up and swiftly left as he had "other jobs to go to", now we're being told that we can't get another appointment until next month... Utterly useless and frustrating. Feels like now we've signed the contract and paid the money that we've been tossed aside with issues left unresolved. We will never be using Magnet again and telling as many people we can the same.

I went in to the Essex road showroom for some inspiration and advice. They were extremely friendly and knowledgeable and I went away with lots to think about! Great customer service and definitely will be returning!
