We had the 3 course set menu for £28 each, which was fantastic value. The quality of the French onion soup, the fresh bread and the lemon tart were outstanding. The additional champagne offer of a whole bottle for £48 made it incredible value.

L?Escargot ? London
We chose L?Escargot for dinner after learning it was one of Princess Diana?s favorite restaurants, and my wife insisted we try it. Our group of five had a 7 pm reservation.
Service: The staff was warm and friendly. Even though the restaurant wasn?t very busy that evening, service was on the slower side?something to keep in mind if you?re used to the faster pace of American dining.
Food:
? Appetizers: The French onion soup was one of the best we?ve ever had?rich, flavorful, and perfectly comforting. The seafood lobster soup was creamy and indulgent. And of course, the escargot was excellent?the butter and green pesto sauce made it a standout.
? Mains: The smoked haddock was not our favorite?it came in a heavy cheese-based preparation that wasn?t clearly described on the menu. On the other hand, the lamb was tender, flavorful, and highly recommended.
? Dessert: If you plan to order a soufflé, do it early?it takes at least 30 minutes to prepare, but it?s worth the wait.
Extra Tip: Don?t miss the charming live piano bar upstairs?just follow the staircase after dinner for a lovely way to end the evening.
Overall, L?Escargot offers a classic French dining experience with standout starters and a touch of royal history. Perfect for a special night out in London.

I can?t praise L?Escargot on 48 Greek Street enough ? this restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the service was flawless. Every detail was taken care of, and the atmosphere just oozes charm and history. The building itself is stunning, full of original features, and everywhere you look there?s something beautiful or intriguing to take in.
The food? Honestly, it was some of the most flavour-packed, perfectly balanced dishes I?ve ever tasted. Every bite was a delight. The champagne was perfectly chilled and paired so well with the meal ? it felt like a true fine dining experience without any pretentiousness.
I have to give a special mention to David, Matthew, and Brian ? their warmth, professionalism, and genuine passion for hospitality made our visit unforgettable. They didn?t just serve food & drinks they created an experience that far exceeded my expectations.
Whether you?re planning a special date night, celebrating an occasion, or simply want exceptional food and service, you need to visit L?Escargot. I left feeling so happy, full, and already planning my return. If I could give more than five stars, I would!

Came here for a 3 course Sunday lunch
Nearly Nearly as good as mams,roast potatoes were crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, vegetables were cooked perfectly, gravy and Yorkshire pudding were the best I've had in London, the beef was medium rare and plentiful and super tasty,onion soup was so good,bread basket
was plentiful, garlic snails was very nice, lemon tart for desert perfection and last but not least I have to mention the homemade horse raddish sauce was perfectly made

Service and surrounding was delightful
Silly me,forgot to take a photo of the roast dinner but trust me that it's really good.looking forward to return

We really have missed coming to l?Escargot more regularly, and we both thoroughly enjoyed this latest return visit. We certainly won?t leave it so long again.

So very lovely. Service was good. Food was delicious. Tasteful, background music just added to a perfect atmosphere. We ate in the front restaurant and it felt as if we were eating in an extremely lovely lounge.

Such an amazing experience! My server was so sweet and the food was incredible. I was dining solo and they made me feel so welcome. Would definitely recommend this place.

Great location in heart of Soho. Lovely 19c salon style interior decoration with a formal though relaxed ambience. A place that would reward a dress up and indulgent moments together. Good cocktail menu and interesting menu well prepared and delivered. Attentive and welcoming staff.
