Not gonna lie, it smells a bit funky in here. I was, once again, drawn here by a PR Invite on Instagram - which basically means someone got some form of compensation to rave about how great the food is. And, once again, I walked away pretty disappointed. Given the small space and the fact that I was dining alone, I was crammed into a corner bar stool close to the kitchen where the smell really tends to hit you. The menu was small, but comfortably familiar, with its simple rice and noodle dishes, as well as exotic salads and a few different types of sticky rice. The drinks menu is tiny and not really worth mentioning. My pork topped vermicelli noodles were the kind of quality you'd expect to find in a Chinatown restaurant. None of it tasted very fresh, and the texture left something to be desired; the pork was very chewy. All of that aside, however, it wasn't the most horrible thing I've ever eaten, the flavor was almost something I would crave again, and the prices were actually quite affordable compared to other places in the area.

Small portions, delicious tastes, meat a bit fatty and cut of meat defo on the cheap side (fatty) and a 12.5% service charge - didn?t pay that.Q: would I come again - honestly no, tastes are absolutely top draw but they are having it away with their clientele - better value and quality available elsewhere.

On our way to watch a play we stopped here for what we thought would be a quick lunch. Little did we know that we would stumble on this absolute gem of a place. Never having tried Laotian cuisine I was curious to try the array of dishes on offer. Started with the fermented pork sausages and I can confirm that they tasted like no sausages I've ever eaten. I can understand how it might not be for everyone but if you like fermented food this is really it. We ordered a spicy salad which was excellent and of course couldn't leave without trying out their laab. If you're used to eating laab in myriad thai places, then you know how flavourful and moreish it is. The star of the show definitely was the mushroom curry. It had deep complex flavours and packed full of mushrooms. We felt adventurous and added ant eggs as well. The side of rice wrapped in banana leaves provided a nice vehicle for the curry. All in all it was one of the best south asian meals I've had in a long time

I didn?t reserve the table before I go but, the staff tell me very nice that we can dine in around 1 and half hour. That?s fine for us. The food is nice but not too authentic for Lao food. It?s suit for Asian and local here. Som Tum Thai and Poo plara are nice. Best Kor mooyang that I have ever tried in UK! Ping kai noi also very nice as well! I like the way that they serve the sticky rice with banana leaves! So impressed with it!! It?s such a kind of eco friendly but I think it might hard to find banana leaves in the UK. How they can find it Lol. The staff are good but don?t expect too much. Totally, we enjoyed with the food here!

We were just back from Luang Prabang and wanted a taste of Laos, but were so disappointed. The whole fish for 2 was blend, no dipping sauce (it was tomato sauce), the bamboo salad smelled bad, the lao papya salad was brownish and lacked flavor. The service was super hurried, without a smile, and factory like. Why oh why doesnt it preserve the peaceful atmosphere of the country it emulates? Also, the noise level is high for info. Dont recommend and wont be coming back.

Very disappointing. The "service" was abysmal and to add insult to injury they charge 12.5% service charge! Our waitress acted like we were a massive inconvenience, barely said a word to us (not even "hello"), and practically threw our plates down. She even spilled water on the table in her hurry to get rid of us and didn't wipe it up. I work in a coffee shop so I understand what it's like to work in hospitality but I was quite shocked by the rude service.Food was mediocre. We've both been to Laos and we do not remember the food being like this. I ordered the pad prawns. Literally just vermicelli noodles with some beansprouts, egg and 4 prawns, no vegetables. I can make better at home. My partner had the chicken curry and the meat was grey and bad quality. You have to buy rice as extra which I thought was cheeky considering the small portion size of the curry which is mostly water and its cost. We were both hungry 2hrs later. We could've ordered more dishes but we were conscious of time and to be honest I'm glad we didn't after our experience. Not much choice for vegetarians and no options for vegans (fish sauce used).

Outstanding. Second visit. The lab with crispy fish was one of the best dishes I've eaten in ages. Great staff and good value. Thank you.
