We had booked a table for 4 at Lantana at 1800 to get a meal before the theatre across the road at 1930. The menu is quite straightforward and not particularly extensive and we ordered a variety of mains plus drinks. The restaurant was by no means busy at that time but our food had still not arrived by 1845. "It's on its way" we were told, twice, but it took a few more minutes before it was on the table. This was even more frustrating because when we booked the table we were told we had to be out by 1930. The food when it finally arrived was disappointing all round. One drink was incorrect. My main was belly pork with a veg sauce plus chips (£16 plus extra for the chips). The chips were fine, the main was awful. Belly pork to me suggests long slow cooking of reasonably sized chunks of meat and a tender result. What I was served were a few hard, dry slices of unidentifiable darkened, possibly burnt meat with a congealed greenish sauce. Goodness knows what they had done to the pork but it was close to inedible. I expect the sauce was congealed because it had been standing waiting unserved for 30+ minutes. I didn't want to make a big fuss in front of friends and there was no time to send it back and order something else. When I mentioned my concerns to the man in charge at the bar he did at least offer to adjust the bill. But a serious restaurant would never have placed that dish before a paying customer in the first place. We are a 50% Australian couple and Lantana bears no resemblance to any eating experience we have had Down Under so don't go with any antipodean culinary expectations. In Australia lantana is a noxious weed. Perhaps it's a tongue-in-cheek usage but it's rather as though a Japanese restaurant chain decided to call themselves "Knotweed". We won't be back.

Excellent brunch, good service, fab food and great coffee too. Couldn?t fault it. I?m a vegetarian and my partner a meat eater. We were spoilt for choice and both thoroughly enjoyed.

We went to the borough market and wanted to warm up and have a nice breakfast. Unfortunately it wasn?t that warm inside. The breakfast was delicious, but my chai latte tasted more like a hot milk than a chai. service was friendly but not the fastest.

I ordered the Wild Mushroom which was quite decent and well seasoned with appropriate portion. The Matcha Latte with Oat milk was again nicely done, however, the cup they used doesn't feel like it's in line with the overall design and vibe that this place offer.Service was what you expect, no problem at all, but with a 14% service charge instead of the regular 12.5% in London, the extra charge is not very well justified.Minor errors, such as the coffee dirt on the plate of my matcha latte, really throw off the overall experience and again, unjustified 14% add on.Overall 3 stars for the 14% and coffee dirt on plate (Each got 1 star deducted)

Nice light deco, busy atmosphere, mixed crowd. You've better book a table in advance. The food was interesting, nice flavours, average presentation, small selection of dishes for brunch Service was ok, a bit slow, but friendly & polite.

Great place for all day brunch and super dog friendly. The vibe was really warm and welcoming, coffee was fantastic and food was really good. Docking one star because I agree with other reviews - dishes are priced really high. Two breakfasts, no extras, two coffees and service charge was more than £50. Food was good but too pricey - would likely head somewhere else next time!Dietary restrictions: Only non dairy milk on the menu is oat

I liked this a lot more before I saw the cost on my bank account which has obliged me to come back and remove a star. The food was great, the chorizo and egg roll had great flavour and I liked the chorizo in place of the typical bacon. The staff were friendly and it was a nice spot to sit out on the sidewalk.

I was excited to try Lantana for brunch but felt a bit disappointed. The positives are that it is close to London Bridge, has a good selection of brunch dishes and drinks, and has a nice indoor and outdoor atmosphere. Dishes are also nicely presented. However, the prices are very high for what you get. Most brunch dishes are close to £20 - even with rising costs in London, you can eat breakfast in a nice Mayfair hotel for this price. They also have many ?add ons? available but the prices seem again unreasonable - my dish came with an add on of chorizo for £5 extra. Add ons for £5 when the dish was already £18 just seems high to me.I love going out for brunch and generally, even if prices are high, am happy if the food is great. But the corn fritters did not taste that good and were soggy, as was the haloumi it came with. I ended up not finishing the food, which is super rare for me!I still gave 3 stars for location, interior and service! But based on prices and food quality, I wouldn?t recommend Lantana.

They really should work on staff training. I?ve come here often and it?s always borderline ?cool attitude?? but sometimes it?s just too much.

The Asian food exceeded my expectation! The veggie nasi goreng I ordered was tasty and quite authentic - there isnt much Indonesian resto in London so I was excited to try it. The tofu soba my friend ordered was alright. The soba was average, but the tofu skin is wrapped with crispy black and white sesame which tasted like heaven. So this tofu is a must try!

The beef hash was excellent and very tasty. The corn fritter was abit too soggy though and coffee was alright. Really nice atmosphere and staff though.

Went for a cup of tea and some sort of cake or pastry but at 5 ish they had nothing to offer. The woman who took our order was pleasant but a waitress brought the tea which was slammed down on the table without a word, no smile or eye contact. No taste to the tea. When we went to pay they had added on service, which I then queried and explained that we werent happy with the service charge which is meant to be optional. The woman said she would have to go and get the manager and because we were in a bit of a rush we didnt bother and paid the amount but certainly wouldnt visit here again. Very disappointing.
