A must-visit spot if you?re missing the taste of authentic Japanese desserts, which are typically more mild in flavor. They even offer black sesame desserts, which are quite rare to find in London. The wooden interior creates the atmosphere of a traditional Japanese tea house. Perfect place to spend a relaxing afternoon.

A cute tea shop with fresh and beautiful Japanese pastries. I didn't get to try the tea but had a strawberry and matcha daifuku and ate it in the beautiful garden. The daifuku was filled with sweet redbean but the matcha mochi was not sweet. However the matcha quality was fantastic! It cost £4.75 but it was fine to share and the ingredient quality was worth the price. The garden was so peaceful, I wish I could have stayed longer.

Popped into this Japanese cafe on a Sunday morning in late June. It being a Japanese tea room we wanted authentic Japanese tea. Got hojicha and matcha. They were good. Don't think they do a gyokuro anymore.
On display were pretty cakes that were appealing. The matcha crepe cake, strawberry shortcake and matcha cheesecake looked nice. Other popular options seem to be the matcha basque cheesecake, Sakura mochi and daifuku.

Wonderful little Japanese cafe. The teas and cakes are delicious and it's very cosy inside.

I had the opportunity to try four different cakes - matcha crepe, matcha basque cheesecake, black sesame and Mont Blanc. I highly recommend any of them depending on your own personal preferences, but another confectionary, the sakura mochi was actually the highlight for me. As I was taking away the cakes, the nice staff were very helpful in describing each confectionary, and provided a little slip of paper to remind me of the best before dates for each item. I will return to Katsute 100, but perhaps I will visit another of their branches to check out the supposedly different specialty items in each store.

The staff are so nice.
The matcha latte is creamy but not matcha enough.
The matcha layered cake tastes really good, though the layers are a bit too thick.
