Great local cafe with home made cakes and great fresh cooked breakfasts. Thankfully not part of any sort of chain. Friendly staff and dog friendly too.

Asked for two cuppachinos and a halloumi wrap.
Cuppachinos we're not cuppachinos but coffee and poor ones at that. Told the waitress and she srugged her shoulders. The halloumi wrap was disgusting chucked together with a lame piece of lettuce and cucumber. A five year old could have done a better job...all round poor with a i couldn't care less attitude. Avoid so much better in the area.

It says it closes at 3 pm, we travelled at this way there and when we got there at 2.20 and the sign said : closed. Not good enough.

How can you go wrong with a ham and cheese toastie....by saving on the cheese. I couldn't even feel the taste of the cheese. Super dry, I left half of it on the plate. Definitely not worth £7. I'm not curious to try their menu. Not going back.

Lovely kind staff that served us. I had a halloumi salad and tea and it was delivered as expected. Really unpretentious cozy spot for lunch.

I have been going to Kalender for coffee breaks and lunch for many years. It is terrific with a lovely community atmosphere inside and out. The couple who run it are really friendly and the food is very tasty. Their Apple Strudel is the best ever!!

This friendly family cafe makes the best mocha I?ve had in half a century of trials. My friend ordered the homemade apple pie which arrived huge, stacked full of spiced apple slices, perfect texture, topped with a top notch streusel. As a major bonus, they?re dog friendly, so you don?t have to shiver outside with your feast, you can relax indoors. Wholeheartedly recommended

I went here for brunch on a Sunday after a walk on Hampstead Heath. It was busy when we arrived so I had high hopes. The service was good and the food came quickly. However, the food quality was pretty average - I had the 'Kalendar English breakfast' which I think was £15 but tasted like food you could cook at home with ingredients from Tesco. On the side were some tasty looking cakes so maybe it's better for tea and cake rather than a meal - brunch anyway.
