I don't usually write reviews, but these guys deserve some recognition. I've been going to them for years and years, and whenever I buy glasses from somewhere else I'm reminded just how simple, efficient and very competitively priced Iris Optical is. One of the things I really appreciate is the lack of upsell. They just provide high quality lenses as standard, no need to get the "which lens coatings do you want to pay extra for" chat - their lenses have all the coatings you need already.

I?ve had a faultless experience with Iris Optical which is increasingly rare in shops these days! Excellent customer service, really helpful guys and very competitive prices. I like how they just give you the facts and let you make the decisions, no upselling or pressure tactics which I?ve recently had happen at other opticians. This is how service should be, but so often isn't. I went into Iris Optical to buy some new reading glasses. I had a prescription from a recent eye test somewhere else but hadn't had time to choose glasses there. I was left to browse myself which I appreciated, then the gentleman working there asked if I needed any help, which I did, and made two great suggestions of frames. I chose one of them and he asked me when I would like to collect them, I said ASAP, and he told me I could go back and collect them a couple of hours later. I was so pleased with the ease and smoothness and speed of service. A perfect customer experience and I highly recommend!

The team at Iris Optical are very professional, friendly and efficient. I had new lenses fitted in less than 48 hours, and - as previously - the staff were was a pleasure to deal with. The cost was also very reasonable. They are a great neighborhood business!

I've had 8 pairs of frames reglazed with Iris in the past - each time I have been impressed with the professionalism of Iris' service.I have returned again to Iris - this time for Varifocal and Occupational re-glazes to my frames.Elliot at Iris provided a very clear and detailed outline of what I could expect from both the Varifocal and Occupational lenses.After collecting both my Varifocal's and Occupational lenses I am very pleased with the quality both - they are fantastic!Elliot is very experienced, he is eager to help, his recommendations and suggestions are excellent, and he has a very professional manner.Highly recommended, and I'll be back!

Eye Test: 5*. The doctor was professional and extremely careful. The entire test took around 20-25 mins.Experience with the sales guy: 0*.Shortly after the eye test, I was shown to the main area where Elliot took over. Shortly after I enquired about the lense brands they use, he became extremely defensive and started gradually raising his voice. Being a relatively calm person, I did not pay much attention to this, but he continued to talk to me in an extremely aggressive and confrontational manner, continuously interrupting me. When asked to adjust his manner, he stormed out to bring the card machine asking me to immediately pay and leave, refusing to sell me a frames and lenses.***UPDATE***Response from the store: (in case the delete it)?Hi there AM.After consulting with both of my colleagues who were in the store today, we 100 % categorically refute your version of events. We wish you well on your search for another opticians.Regards?Hi there store.I believe it was extremely useful to hear the version of events from both people, who were in the store today, given that doctor was in a separate room for the entire period of my conversation with a sales guy. Just to clarify, if you genuinely want to understand the situation I suggest watching the camera recordings and trying to effectively use the feedback provided. thanks
