Edited: Indian Summer resolved the misunderstanding. Looks like there was an issue with my original email.Might not have been the item I was expecting. But can?t fault their customer service and way in which the issue was dealt with. Thanks.

I do all my shopping online as I am not a fan of browsing shops however the window display of Indian Summer is just too marvelous to resist, once inside the shop is even better, with friendly service and all sorts of beautiful things which are fairly priced, I bought some jewelry for myself and other bits for my kids, and after I paid instead of leaving the store I just kept browsing, there's so much stock! I would definitely recommend it.

I had a bit of time on my hands yesterday afternoon and decided to do a bit of window shopping in Fulham Road. Indian Summer is one of those boutiques that has a nice mixture of clothes, shoes, gifts, toys, jewellery and cards. Every thing is overpriced, and that?s absolutely fine, as consumers we can choose to waste our money or not. Luckily for me they had some items on ? End of season Sale?. The ankle boots were half price and having spotted I pair that I liked, I decided to buy them. The only size I could see on the display was a size 5. I am a 6.I asked the customer relations clerk ( would never dream of changing her job title to sales assistant) if they had a size 6, she was clearly annoyed by my question and in a very unfriendly manner she said: ? we only have what is on display?. I thanked her and kept my thoughts to myself. I noticed that underneath the shelves there were a number of stacked up boxes, Lucky me I found a size 6. I took the boots to the till and said : ? you did have a size six, in the boxes under the shelves? At this point a polite smile and a half felt apology would have been nice. Needless to say I didn?t get one or the other . Instead I received some more gratuitous condescending remarks that were unnecessary and unprofessional. Had I not like the boots so much I would have left them and walked out. Instead I bought the boots, felt blessed and asked the universe to send the snooty sales assistant at Indian Summer some unicorn magic dust and a slice of humble pie. You don?t have to like your customers, but at the very least be courteous.

We visited Fulham from the US over Christmas, and this shop had so many wonderful things in it. I could have gone every day! The owner is great and so helpful. I bought jewelry, paper Christmas trees, wrapping paper, crackers, pajamas? I would have gone back, but it was closed for Christmas!

If ever in Fulham do not be deceived by the image and attractiveness of Indian Summers. It may look good, which it is but the staff that I have experienced are rude and a disappointment. And it has happened several times.

Ruth has done an amazing job at hand picking all the gifts, homeware, clothing and accessories for the store. It's such a lovely family run business in Fulham and it's always such a treat to pop in there for a gift for someone else. My favourite has to be their table at the front of the store full of lovely little gifts you could get someone. I love the Swedish hair scrunchies they stock and the Atelier small brand jewellery they have. I love a small business that stocks small business items !! Keep going ladies.

I went for the first time in December and I just want to say I will not come back again . The woman inside is unwelcoming and make me feel uncomfortable. I m working in a shop too in High Street Kensington and I can?t understand when someone is unwelcoming in a shop !

The girl at the till is very unpleasant. I'm not sure why, we are buying and she's selling. Anyone can do the job.Mt teenage daughter, who is exploring shopping by herself for the first time, said she makes her feel unwelcome. I've bought plenty at this store as I feel we have a duty to keep local shops open, but this is too much.Smile girl, smile.

I really wanted to enjoy my experience at this store having heard so much despite living so closely - I've visited twice recently and was served by the same young blonde girl who could not have been more unpleasant, surly and made for a really strange & unpleasant atmosphere. I bought a sale item both times (note: half the store is in sale) and when explaining the returns policy it was almost spat out as if the retail assistant looked down upon the purchase. Not what's expected of a place that is surrounded by colour with beautiful items and really really let the place down and for that reason I won't be returning again. Big shame!

Every visit I've been, the staff have been super helpful - even when I've ducked in for a last minute gift just before close. Nice selection of gifts and cards mainly for a female recipient.
