I would not recommend this branch to anyone, not only do they discriminate against disabled individuals but their attitude literally stinks. Wasted journey twice, cannot give instructions on the first visit. Then when I threatened to shut our Advance, Premier and Private accounts down which we have a total of 5m+ across the accounts they claimed that Premier and Private are not part of HSBC. The lifts are broken and there is no access to the main floor nor the premier floor, no signs to state lifts are broken and also non disabled customers are given priority. I?m a wheelchair user unfortunately and my experience at this branch crosses the DDA act threshold therefore I will be reporting this matter to the local authority and the police, furthermore we will be immediately shutting all our accounts down with immediate effect. Word of advice to branch staff, never judge anyone. Just because I?m wheelchair bound does not mean I?m anyone less, if you actually do your due diligence on me you?d see why my official title is Ambassador.

Staff was rude, incompetent and have 0% customer service skills. I wasted 4h of my time this week because they refused to help me every time I went, for reasons such as ?my colleague who was helping you the other day is not here today, you should speak to them? or ? you should come other day because the proof of address my colleague asked for, is not valid? or ?you came 1h before closing so we won?t have time to help?. Absurd. I went to a different bank and they helped me within 30 mins.

I was told to come at a specific time after waiting 30minutes in line. I was fine with this however when I went at the time they told me to come in, (of course I waited again in the queue) they said ?we can not see you right now? and the reason for this was because there were too many people waiting in line. Their exact words were? can?t you see all these people in line???? I just went to another branch and sorted out my bankings there.

Useless banking staff on the front desk. The polish girl on desk check my university letter and says it?s not sufficient, which it is infact sufficient. Then goes on to saying we?re not doing bank account opening today anyways. She was not helpful at all, poor customer service.

Never use the TravelEx rate for anything. You will pay 10% of your cash straight to HSBC due to the artificially poor exchange rate.

The problem with HSBC is that it closes down branches like there?s no tomorrow. I used to be able to pop into a branch within walking distance of my workplace and 15? drive from where I live. Now none of that is possible. I have to delay transactions that need face to face interaction which costs me not only time but also money. I am considering switching to another bank after 20 years of being with HSBC.

Wasted my whole lunch break going from HSBC on Queen Victoria Street (permanently closed) to here (closed for essential maintenance. Can you please do better providing open branches in the City?

Just took a 20 minute walk carrying £310 in coinage to bank only to discover that they had shut the doors due to an 'emergency'. I asked the nature of the 'emergency' to the churlish security guard who answered the door only to be refused any offer of an explanation. HSBC has made a series of branch closures recently meaning that the nearest open branch was over 1 1/2 miles away. I am absolutely SICK of the snowflake attitudes which create situations like this. There is a famous photo of a Midland bank Branch with the front blown off from 1940 with a sign up saying business as usual. No doubt those staffing it at the time are turning in their graves at its predecessor's pansy attitude. I really wonder if it is worth using an organisation which treats its customers like something they wish they had stepped in. HSBC - Huge Snowflakers Belittle Customers!

Unlike most of the other reviews, I've never had a problem with the staff here and always find them friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the branch is SO short-staffed that it's not unusual to queue for 30 minutes. The opening hours are also ridiculous - this is a commercial district where most people work office hours and aren't free during the day, but they close the doors at 4 pm.

HSBC is probably the best bank in the world! During my visit in Bishopsgate branch of HSBC I was able to sort out all my problems and queries. The staff from the branch was friendly and helpful.

Worst branch ever!Came in to open an extra account (am already customer), waited 20 min. in line, for then to be told that it was too late to open an account because it was too close to their closing time. Unbelievable terrible service, expected a lot more from a bank as HSBC.

Staff member is always incredibly rude. Bring in my cash to bank and she shakes her head in disgust - although it?s her job. Bad attitude

Pathetic service, long queues and very disrespectable employees.
