Why the hell would you have an empty showroom with appointment only?! I rushed there from work, because it closes quite early just to hit a closed door. Thanks, there are other chair brands in the world.

I had an excellent experience at Haworth this afternoon with Jackie. Note, you should phone the showroom to book an appointment rather than email. I was able to try all of the models and Jackie made recommendations based on my height and back condition. After sitting in each for a while, I was referred to where I can order the configuration I decided on. Lovely atmosphere in the showroom, highly recommended!

Unfortunately this place has a low rating for a reason. The lady asked me what I'm doing here when I was testing the char that costs 1500 pounds. And she was really irritated. Then I was told that there's no salesman to assist me, as if you need one to be polite. What's even worse you can't buy the chair they have on display. So... What's the point of this place again?

Luckily I did a lot of research on this company before I called them directly , to understand the process of purchasing a Haworth fern.
You will only be able to order the black base version of the fern in the UK at the time of writing this.
The warranty is substantially different to what they give over seas.
I read many horror stories of people paying for their item and not receiving even a confirmation for 5-6 weeks after.
Then as I can also see amongst other reviews here when they do finally receive their item it is faulty.
Finally that the customer service is awful too.
So when I called Haworth in Essex today a lady answered who kindly went into every great detail but simply would not tell me a rough time on when I could expect my product.
She then waffled on about processes not related to my query whilst heavily sighing down the phone , cutting me off mid query and was completely unhelpful.
So I ended the call by saying after all you have explained , the answer to my question is I purchase online and just have to wait until you are ready without any idea of time scales or anything.
She said yes!
I told her due to my experience with your self and your processes I will be looking at getting a steel case Amia as there warranty and customer care is levels above yourselves.
It?s a shame the fern looks really nice too.
Please keep the above in mind before you purchase and save your self the pain of dealing with people like I just have.

Purchased the Fern chair from Haworth Europe. First one arrived and the backrest was faulty, it wouldn't slide in. They eventually got it picked up and delivered a replacement. But had the exact same issue on the new chair! No explanation as to why this is happening. I used a mallet to force the backrest in (not completely, but enough) so that it's useable.
I requested a partial refund as for such an expensive chair, I shouldn't have to deal with these issues. They offered a 70 Eur refund. Crazy considering this is a £1k chair! My colleagues and I would have bought several more chairs, but this whole thing was poorly handled. And still no explanation as to why the backrest does not slide in fully. What a shame.

Delivery took 4 weeks - when it arrived it was a broken chair which someone else had returned to the warehouse. Still waiting for customer service to resolve the issue

Such a warm and welcoming experience. Jackie was a fantastic host, and allowed us time to really feel out the chairs without rushing, as well as providing thorough demonstrations of how everything worked. Could not have asked for more.
