I was really disappointed with my visit to Harrods Café. I ordered two pots of rose tea, and it was clear the waitress didn?t really know how to prepare it. The tea was first served with lukewarm water, then brought back again because there ?wasn?t enough rose.? It was then served once more, still not hot enough, and then changed again with the comment ?oh I knew the colour isn?t right.? If you already know it?s not right, why serve it in the first place ? and without even an apology?
The Harrods Caeser Salad was another letdown. It had a strange fishy smell, was overloaded with sauce, and the chicken was so unpleasant I couldn?t even finish it.
I understand Harrods will be more expensive, but at the very least, the quality and taste should match the reputation of the place. Unfortunately, this experience was far below expectations.
