“Trained with and certified by various instructors at Moss Pilates, I had nothing short of an amazing journey in this lovely cosy studio in London! The educators have continuously inspired me during my training and their passion for the work can been seen in how they generously share their knowledge and wanting to see instructors grow into the best they can be. I would go back to Moss Pilates in a heartbeat for classes and continued education, and if only I wasn't based in Singapore! Highly recommended!”

“Nice gym. Clean / Friendly staff. 2 Racks, smith, leg press, life fitness machines, full dumbbells, cables (no row), preacher, functional trainer, usual anytime cardio, decent space/ not too crowded”

“I was a member here for 3.5 years whilst living in London and loved it. The facilities are excellent, well maintained and kept clean. The workouts are hard but in a good way! I always came out feeling good about myself and I think being able to track your progress with the different zones is really helpful. When I was consistent I definitely noticed the difference, whether it was a heavier weight, higher gear on the strider or my heart rate recovering quicker. But the best bit about this gym is the staff. The front of house staff always welcome you with a smile and are ready to help with anything. And then there's the coaches, who are unbelievable. They bring so much energy to every class and push you in the best way possible - no shouting, no singling out, no unrealistic goals. But they'll certainly not let you slack! Not only do they somehow know everyone's names, they also seem to know what you're capable of better than you know yourself!? They'll celebrate every achievement with you no matter how minor you think it is, and there's a strong focus on getting your form right including adapting exercises for injuries. The most welcoming and positive gym I've ever been to. Worth every penny.Big love to all the past and present staff there for making me enjoy going to the gym!”

“I visited a gym for the first time. One of the gym personnel trainers, Ieva Vitkute, was very helpful and knowledgeable. Ieva's assistance was greatly appreciated and made my first visit to the gym much easier. I will definitely back workout with Ieva.”

“Good gym. The staff are great - friendly and helpful, and not too 'in your face' like some places.\\n\\nMy one issue is that the music can sometimes be really loud.\\nSo loud that I have to turn the volume on my own music/podcasts up to maximum. In this day and age when everyone has their own music and headphones, do you need to play one type (that may not appeal to all members) so loudly? It stops everyone else listening to their own choice.\\n\\nTied in to that - it's also quite repetitive - you seem to hear the same tracks and ads everyday for a month”

“I had an exceptional experience at the gym thanks to Hurley! He took the time to show me around, explaining everything in detail and making me feel comfortable. His knowledge and enthusiasm for fitness were truly inspiring. I'm looking forward to my fitness journey with confidence, thanks to Hurley's guidance. The gym is lucky to have such a dedicated and friendly staff member like him. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“All facilities are nearby and very centrally located. Just the issues with the metro in peak hours from holborn station.. You may have to wait 20 min outside the underground station as they are unable to handle the crowd..”

“Best Gym in London, very bright and modern looking. I like the wrist band system (finally something better than those dated plastic cards, I was always loosing them). The wrist band you always have on your wrist and never forget it (and they’re look cool).Very good equipment. I like that the benches have decline adjustment, so you can combine them with the squat racks and do decline bench press.Cable resistance machines are doubled up, so I don’t have to wait in line when I want to train my triceps or do a lat pull down.I like private cardio room where I can train on the treadmill and answer my phone in quiet. The only club with the ice machine in the spa and the salt room is amazing. After salt room I recommend the tropical shower.I could talk it for ages about the place, but people have to just come and check it by themselves. Both, staff and the members are very friendly here.Very recommended place to enjoy your workout.”

“After moving back to Canada, I miss this gym so much not sure if they still have it, but with my private health insurance, Virgin active membership was half off a few years back.”

3.5Good45 Reviews

“I’ve visited a few branches of Virgin Active and the one in Bank is definitely my favourite one and that’s partly because of the lovely receptionist Danielle. She is genuinely kind, always helpful and fast when I need something. Very professional, sweet and friendly.”

“I came here on a 3 day trial pass and I must say..I’m impressed.Prior to this I attended the Pure Gym at Canary Wharf and I had such a horrible experience. But this Pure Gym was a complete contrast. Once you walk in, there are towels provided - like a classier gym.I went to the changing rooms and I expected something like the one at Canary Wharf…but this one was clean and spacious. Plenty of locker spaces; each locker had an air vent inside which was cool. I believe they’re there if you want to dry any clothing. The gym floor with free weights and machines isn’t the biggest. There are plenty of weights, however, they’re not in order. Plenty of benches too. Machines are close together but it’s not a huge problem. From around 12-1:00 it gets more busy due to all the corporate lads trying to get their workout in before their lunch breaks end. I assume it also gets very busy after 5pm when they leave work.I was there anywhere from 11-3PM and it was essentially empty. Even during the lunch break. Theres a cool downstairs area with more free weights, 2 deadlift platforms and racks which you can do squats on. They have the good type of clips - not the flimsy metal ones.I had a shower here and it was quite clean. HOWEVER, the shower doors do not lock! They are also glass which are opaque. Yes, they do give some sort of privacy, but I’d like more privacy. Especially considering you don’t know who’s going to try and peak at you whilst showering. The water is also at a fixed temp. I like my freezing cold showers, so it was a shame that I couldn’t change the temp.”

“Westfield London GYMBOX great option for a mid-premium gym in London.Wide variety of equipment and way quieter than your average London gym, especially if you go in the morning.Changing rooms always clean and in good condition. If you want a good gym that offers that slight premium element I would recommend as you won’t be breaking the bank”

“I went to Alejandro (PT) at the beginning of this year due to a long-lasting shoulder injury (of 9 years) where I’d seen so many physio’s and osteo’s and had many treatments which didn’t really work. After having regular sessions with Alejandro my shoulder mobility and strength has improved for the first time in years and I was able to climb Kilimanjaro last month (with the backpack) which was my goal. He has a great understanding of the body and adapts exercises in a creative and effective way. Highly recommend.”

“Good range of training equipment and very spacious, plus excellent studio rooms and pool/spa area. Staff is always helpful and coach Tom has kept me going for three months and counting! If I need to say something I would like to see more hot steam/temperature in the steam room and larger towels, please!. Everything else is a top 5 stars!”

“I recently joined and I’m really happy with the gym. You get to do classes, the gym is a decent size and I never really saw it get fully fully packed, the staff are friendly, there’s a sauna and two pools…so overall it’s great! The only thing I would say and hopefully virgin takes the feedback and works on it, is that hygiene could be improved. There’s never shampoo in the women’s bathroom and the floor could be cleaned better. Maybe there could be a policy implemented that requires everyone to wear flip flops in the changing rooms. I find it really disgusting when I see other ladies walk around barefoot.”

2.7Average65 Reviews

“Decent gym for the area, classes are what sold it for me so I signed up for 12 months today after trying it out for a month (paid). Staff are super friendly and the general manager provides excellent customer service. Only things that need improvement are the mats for the classes, they look like they’re 20 years old so I bring my own! Steam room has also been out of service the whole month so I’ve been unable to use it which is disappointing.”
