My go to cinema chain. If you?ve never visited a picture house I recommend you do, it?s like a premium cinema experience at standard prices. This one has great food and drinks available to take into the screens.

It's hard to rate a cinema without judging it against the film you saw there, so because I saw "Dune 2" I may be looking at it through tinted glasses! But look, this is a great cinema in a central location (much as I love the Odeon Greenwich, it's a bit of a trek) and does what it does well. Bar on the top floor sells draught and (for that reason alone) is better than the cafe on the ground floor. Good wide seats with plenty of leg room and, though some of the screens are a bit small, the positioning of seat to screen means that you get more picture for your money than, say, half way back at the Empire Leicester Square.

Love it, small, cozy, the cinema seats recline, much better than ODEON.

We came here for the dog friendly viewing of Dune 2 and absolutely loved it! Such a nice atmosphere, staff super friendly and welcoming and gave us all blankets to keep the seats hair free. The seats were also super comfy and reclined which was fantastic. We will be back! :)

Probably my favourite cinema in London, it?s always a very cosy vibe with super friendly staff and an intimate setting, very relaxed and comfortable seats in all the screens I went to, would absolutely go again!

Nice local cinema that shows a good array of films. There?s a cafe attached. Unfortunately, the last film we saw there was The Taste of Life, was a quiet film. The film in the next cinema could be heard throughout.

Five screens, really nice reclining seats. Staff who seem to appreciate films. It?s a chain cinema with a weirdly independent and community feel to it. There is an adjoining cafe and snacks at the ticket office too. Prices can be fairly steep as is common at cinemas these days but I visit on Mondays when adult tickets are a pretty reasonable £8.20. Good selection of latest films to choose from with the odd classic screening thrown in there. Ads show for about twenty minutes before the film, so you can factor that in if you can?t be bothered to sit through them. A very decent cinema.

** Update: Important to mention that after posting my review Picturehouse reached out to me with an apology and a complimentary ticket **Screen 4 Experience: Poor. The right channel speaker is not playng at the correct level, meaning all the sound and music is coming out of the centre and left channels. It's not only Picturehouse. I was at the prestigious Cineworld in Wood Green just the other day to catch 'Anatomy of a Fall'. Amazing film. But a screening let down by a persistent ground hum audible throughout the entire performance ( - anyone remember how we used to call these things 'performances'?). Cinema spaces neglected, in disrepair and not properly calibrated are yet another indication of this countries tanking cinema culture....sigh....Maybe, as Paul Schrader said in 2018, it's because we, the audience, "don't take movies seriously" thesedays that we inevitably don't take the cinema experience seriously either and so overlook / can't spot these technical failures. Sadly it's a race to the bottom in an age when I can watch Mulholland Drive on my mobile phone....
