George is a magician - I had a very unorthodox request for a pair of shoes that i thought i wouldn?t be able to get any use out of and he was able to understand the problem and come up with a very effective solution. Very friendly and great guy. Would recommend to anyone and everyone

Very expensive! Work was good. Inconvenient opening times. They request cash payment only, even for high prices! They said they would apply a 20% increase if paying by card. Sounds like borderline acceptable practice.

I do not recommend leaving expensive items here for repair. As you can see from the photo, whoever did the job couldn?t even be bothered to use black thread on the inside. It would have taken 2 minutes to change the white to black on the sewing machine and would have made all the difference. My conclusion is that they can?t be bothered to spend 2 extra minutes respecting their customers belongings nor are grateful for the money they receive for botching your items. Apart from that I did not receive a text as promised to collect my bag when it was ready, called during open hours and left a message. Didn?t get a call back. If they had done a half decent job I wouldn?t have cared but now my bag is a mess. My advice, shop around and don?t risk this place. For their prices they should do better.

Such a lovely family business. Both George and his son are very friendly and extremely helpful with lots of knowledge. Definitely a must if you need your shoes fixed, resoled or advice in general. Thank you for your advice on my shoes!

Brilliant customer service, incredibly honest and helpful.The first time I brought a pair of shoes here, they were very honest about the quality of the shoes and implied that it would be a waste of money repairing them. Fair enough!The second time, I brought in a pair of shoes that I had stripped down and repainted from brown to black. I thought I?d messed up and asked them to finish the job for me. Instead, the cobbler (I didn?t catch his name) spent some time looking at my shoes, trying some things out to see what worked, and advising me how I could finish the job myself. I bought some shoe polish, followed his advice at home, and saved myself quite a bit of money.Very pleased with the service. By the time I need some expert work on my shoes, I know I?ll be getting a fair price for a worthwhile repair!

I had a fold over suit bag that had always had a 'tricky' zipper. However, on my latest trip to London it became firmly stuck and would not budge (leaving my suits and belts held hostage). I had read a Google review about George's Shoe Repair by a customer with a similar issue (apparently not even the luggage company would touch their suitcase). I emailed George and he replied promptly (on a day the shop was not even open) and told me to bring it in to him on the next day he was open. He worked his magic and in less than 15 minutes he had it done! And he's a super friendly store owner to boot. Highly recommend this guy and his shop

Traveling in London, walked in with an oversized belt I bought in Camden Town that I didn't try on properly and was about 2/3 inches too long. I asked (George I believe?) if he could put some extra holes in the belt. Instead, he offered to shorten it so there would be no awkward overhang and did it in about two seconds! It was exactly what I needed, and he was so nice and knowledgeable. If I needed a shoe repair I would definitely do it here!

Very good experience.Initially I received advise on whether it was worth it to get my shoes repaired (or just buy new ones) as they were very damaged, including a price indication.I decided to get them fixed and I'm very happy with the result!Thank you!

I've been having my shoes repaired here for 7 years now. I no longer live anywhere near the shop, but go out of my way to come because the service and the quality are so dependably good. Highly recommend.

Really friendly, and very convenient. Cut my keys within two minutes and I was in and out. Smells lovely too (if you're into shoe repair aromas that is. And let's face it; who isn't?)

I originally went to a larger company around the corner from this store but the service was disgusting so decided on Georges Shoe Repair for my key cutting needs instead.Lovely little place, the staff are very friendly and welcoming.
