Gail's is a chain of bakeries I noticed when travelling through London that sell a variety of treats including sweet and savoury fare! Thought I'd give it a try so purchased the almond chocolate croissant to enjoy whilst taking a stroll down Portobello Rd, Notting Hill. The croissant was fresh and tasty and quite filling. I wish I had asked for it to be heated up a little so the chocolate would be all gooey and warm ?. Nice little store on a busy street with dine-in options where you can sit and relax.

Excellent breakfast on Portobello Road: wide range of sweet and savory products to choose from, the traditional cinnamon buns and sultana scones (scones with raisins) with jam are highly recommended. Average prices with bakeries here in the UK.

The single espresso is a joke!! £2.90 for a sip of coffee ?. An absolute joke!!
All the other coffee places, their single espresso is 3 times Gails size

We stopped by chance while walking along Portobello road, and were pleasantly surprised. Excellent food even for us Italians who are demanding, delicious sweets and savouries, very kind staff, delicious latte chai and coffee. Perfect stop to refresh and recharge. Compliments!

First visit here and it definitely did not dissapoint! The manager Marcie ( sorry if not correct spelling) explained to us what baked eggs were as we did not know. They were so delicious and the coffees were perfect, the very best we have had during our whole holiday! The choice of items from the bakery was very good. Plenty of seating for dining in. Would highly recommend stopping here if you are in the area, or travel here, it is worth it!

Nothing Hill branch is where i buy my daughters and my breakfast and coffees every single day. What I had experienced today put me off for life from all Gails. Staff was like a gang teasing screaming when i wanted to use the bathroom. One of the workman was towering over me really intimidating and kept calling me "darling" and the staff kept laughing! I do hope you have cameras in place to check what happenst in your stores!
