Have been a huge fan of Gails for years, and signed up to there online APP.
I Went in this morning, I normally drop in once a week, haven't been to Queens park, in probably 18months, I picked up two loafs as I normally do when I turned around to lay them on the counter, I was told sharply we pick up the loafs from the shelfs, I stopped in my tracks, I told her every gails I had gone into, Id always picked up the bread myself.
She shook her head and said since ive worked here, thats how we've done it.
I didn't know to put it back on the shelf and walk out, as I felt very uncomfortable, and everyone in the shop just stared at me, like I just Broke some expensive item.
She shook her head and told me to carry on.
The young chap serving asked did I want them sliced so I handed them to him, he was extremely polite & Helful, I was relived as I was ready to walk out..
Not a nice feeling. Made me feel very uncomfortable. I wonf be bk there again.

Everything we ordered was alright, but not amazing, as I would expect for the price. We ordered 4 different savory brunch thing (pastrami sandwich, ham & spinach quiche, haloumi & bacon burger and a different quiche) but they just really weren't amazing, especially for £25. I felt quite rushed to order as well.

I regularly visit this bakery in Queens Park two to three times a week. Over the past few weeks, I?ve really noticed a positive change ? especially when it comes to the staff's friendliness and overall atmosphere.
There?s one team member in particular who stands out: George. I asked for his name because his kindness and professionalism truly deserve recognition. Every time we?ve been served by him, he?s been warm, polite, and genuinely helpful.
Just recently, my wife and I were there on a Sunday. George welcomed us with a smile, gave thoughtful recommendations, and after we had already picked up quite a few items, he kindly offered us one more to try ? simply as a gesture of goodwill. He said something like, ?Try this out ? and if you like it, you?ll know for next time.? It wasn?t forced or pushy at all, just a sincere and generous moment that made our day.
In the past, the service at this location sometimes felt a bit indifferent, which was surprising for a premium bakery. But now, with people like George and other new faces on the team, the atmosphere has improved noticeably.
Huge credit to George ? he brings genuine warmth to the place. I truly hope management recognises what a valuable team member they have. He?s definitely one of the reasons we keep coming back.

Lovely bakery, with a nice fit out. Excellent pastries and really good coffee. Just down the road from where we were staying. So super convenient as well.

I have come here consistently for the past 6 years and it made us feel that we moved to a nice area when we found this Gails. The food, staff and atmosphere is always great. It is always full and smell delicious whenever you pop in. I have probably eaten 80% of what they sell and am always very happy with it. I have only eaten in two or three times, as few things beat actually going into Queens park with delicious things from Gails, which is 3 minutes away. I highly recommend popping in whenever you are close! P.S. thanks for the straws :)

What can I say, the food it?s exceptionally , but the price, ffs cut them off?
I was understanding if it was for the staff, but they re not even able to say a thank you and have a nice day, AFTER I SPEND 11£ FOR 3 THINGS. It?s not the first time, and it happens with most of the staff on counter. For me it?s not fair or right fi have a decent respect, to answer back to someone who wish you a good day and thank for your service ?pathetic, I never step in again

I have been twice over the last week and my comments are as follows:
1. I ordered a flat white and this good.
2. Ordered a hot cross bun and they toasted for me but really it wasn't even warm. It was also very heavy
3. The place is unclean and the floors really need a deep clean.

Great service, actually wish I had gotten servers name. Very patient and personable female. Friendly servers and good atmosphere. Prices are reasonable for quality of food.

I?ve been sitting there for 45 mn an no one is cleaning the table! It looks horrific! No one can sit! You have no staff checking , some were in pause and nothing change ! They didn?t bothered to clean table!Even a homeless came and pick up food from the table! People have no choice than sitting on dirty tables full of cups etc?.Please Do Something About It!!!!!

Great staff and good food, but the place is filthy. Tables are often dirty, and used trays and cups are left everywhere. A simple bin or tray return station would make a huge difference. No comment on the bathrooms?

We love queens park Gail's bakery......as we are coming here from last 2 years....my daughter also come with me to buy best almond croissant. Best part of this bekry is good staff members specially Girl name "sweety" with amazing smile and helps staff as well as customers in a polite manner. I always recommend my family and friends to come here....my daughters love to buy many bekry items and drink coffee...

This is my favourite brunch. Very friendly and nice staff.
