Purchased cleaning and sealing products for natural stone tiles at Fired Earth Cross Street. They seemed reasonably priced but importantly I was told what products to buy and what wouldn't be worth it. I also got excellent advice on how to apply the products over a week or so. This was extremely helpful given that natural stone is a complex material. The below is a photo of my Travertine bathroom tiles after being given a clean and then resealed. Thanks, Andrew

Good range of tiles but in comparison to other tile suppliers in Islington and Shoreditch I found Fired Earth expensive. I visited the Islington store twice and both times found the staff unfriendly and not particularly keen to help. Customer service in tiles etc (round the corner) is much better, and I didn't have to pay for samples! I would also recommend Claybrook in Shoreditch.

Unenthusiastic, bored staff in the shop when we went to browse. I had to purchase 3 tile samples (the only place I've had to pay for samples) only to find out when I got home and looked at them online that the range had already been discontinued and sold out. The lady wasn't particularly interested when I phoned to discuss. Left pretty flat by the experience and will take custom somewhere else.

I purchased a large order (bathroom, kitchen tiles etc) and some samples from the local Hampstead store just prior to the lockdown. As I had a baby in between, I was unable to return (only) the samples within the return period as I was still recovering from the birth. When I tried to return the samples the Hampstead store was shut down, and the Islington store manager rudely and inconsiderately refused to take the samples back. I even offered to show my baby's birth certificate as evidence of why I was unable to come earlier but the store manager did not relent. Note also that I spoke to a previous store manager at Islington who agreed to take the samples back.PATHETIC and NASTY customer service from, even after a significant purchase. Avoid this store and its incompetent, inconsiderate manager by all means! Fired Earth should shut all its stores since it can't get customer service right.I wish I could give ZERO stars

Nice tiles, but they use the most rude and obnoxious delivery service. I would strongly recommend they change this because it made it a very unpleasant experience.

Rude and sulky staff. Nasty attitude. One of the worst customer services experiences I have ever had.... And the tiles are very mediocre....
