I had diarrhoea for 5 days + lying in bed after eating sashimi here last week (GP diagnosed salmonella).
So.. Eat Tokyo has been my go-to place for Japanese food ? good price, good portion. But this Covent Garden branch seems to be so awful in my past visits.
Last time they forgot to put my order, making me wait for my Okonomiyaki for 75 min serving no water (the waiter didn?t even explain ? he told me okonomiyaki always took an hour+ but another waitress told me that the original waiter who ordered for me was off duty and he had forgotten to place my order earlier).
This Monday, I had this sashimi bento that made me diarrhoea for these amount of days ? I?m only able to send out this angry note after lying in bed for days to recover.
Eat Tokyo is great, but please avoid this awful branch.

The sake selection is great. There is a wide variety to chose from. The bento box is great, definitely worth the money.

I came to this restaurant many times. One time I found the table next to me was openly talking about sex, and another time, the table next to me was openly insulting someone. Although I am not totally sure
who they were talking about, it seems like I am unfortunately encountering them this way many times, which made me think they were talking about me. I never came back.

Wow. All I can say is wow.
Food quality was exceptional. Staff was incredibly fast and friendly. Many spoke Japanese.
We spent the better part of an entire evening there, and felt like VIPs the entire time. The manager also came by and thanked me personally.
Couldn?t ask for a better experience. We will be back!

My favourite restaurant in London!! The foods were amazing, the price also affordable for student like me. Sometime you need to wait for a table for a quite long time but for me, it?s totally worth it!

Still one of the best value for money Japanese chain restaurants in London. This branch is a little stuffy with sticky tables and tight layout, but it's still a decent place to go.

Ordered two sushi sets to go. Either don't put miso soup into to go orders or put it into non-leaking containers. And please train your personal to pack the food like they do care.
