Coffee is good. But you need to be ready to be treated like garbage or if you?re lucky be ignored by their staff. Update! Again rude short hair girl at the till. I have been waiting 16 minutes for an oat flat white. They bring the wrong drink so i guess it will be around 20 minutes. They still ask for a tip when you pay. What an absolute joke this place is.

I love this place. I have a question for the mgmt: would it not be possible to introduce some nuance to the laptop policy? The blanket 12-3 ban seems draconian. Today I had to leave at 12pm and so ended up spending £20 on lunch somewhere else instead of at the Bakehose. Not for the first time. And when I left, at least, the indoor tables were 80% free! So this works out badly for me and I should think not great for you either.

If you're looking for a delicious, hearty vegetarian lunch around London Fields this is the place. They only have one main dish per day (as well as soup and sandwiches options) so you have to roll the dice but having been here many times, you should. Even dishes that I would not normally order are so so good...healthy, fresh, large portion. People reviewing here are mostly talking about the bakery (which I also rate) but it's the weekday lunch that hits the spot for me. Nice chill outdoor garden in the back is great as well.

Enjoyed good coffee in nice outdoor courtyard. Cakes were good. The sourdough was fresh with a crusty loaf (comparable to Iggy?s in Sydney)

This is one of east London's most popular artisan bakeries, located right next to the entrance of London Fields train station. There is only a small sign to let people know that it's there. But once inside, it's like doctor who's TARDIS, bigger on the inside! I paid a visit early on Saturday morning, and it was bustling. Despite being located only a 5-minute walk from Broadway market I would think that this place gets very busy about Saturday lunchtime to afternoon. This place also roasts it own coffee, hence my interest.
Prices are par for the course for an artisan bakery in London. I had a pain au chocolate and a flat white, both were excellent. Competition for artisan coffee in this part of London is tough, it has to be good and it most certainly is. Recommended by myself.

Tried this place out after hearing a bit of buzz, but honestly, I left pretty underwhelmed. The croissants were fine ? nothing special, just average. For the price, I expected something a lot more impressive. In fact, the prices overall were surprisingly high, especially for a small spot in a residential area. I was shocked to see items more expensive than Starbucks or Pret, and without any of the consistency or portion size you?d expect from places like that.
The biggest letdown? The coffee. I ordered a latte and was handed something barely bigger than a double espresso cup. For what I paid, it felt like a joke £4. Tiny portion, no depth of flavor, and definitely not good value.
I really wanted to like this place, but it just feels like style over substance. Overpriced, underwhelming, and not somewhere I?d recommend. There are far better options nearby that don?t try so hard to justify premium prices without delivering the quality and quantity to match.
