What an underwhelming experience. I have heard a lot of great things about this particular chain and I had very high hopes at my visit this evening to the Shoreditch branch and was incredibly disappointed by the quality of dishes served. I feel as though the main issue was the fact that a majority of the dishes were served cold (the only warm thing set down to the table was the aubergine chutney). Another area of concern was the lack of and dwindling depth in flavour and taste after the first dish which was the keema pau.
The reason I would rate this place a two rather than 1/5 is because the service here is undeniably great and the restaurant has a seamless flow. Even though we waited 55 minutes, we were offered a choice of complimentary lemonade or chai in the queue during the last 15 minutes of the queue we were offered a temporary place in the waiting area, aka the bar while we waited for our table to be ready.

Dishoom Shoreditch had been recommended to us by several friends, and it truly delivered. We hadn?t booked a table, the restaurant was full, but were seated within 20 minutes after enjoying a drink at the bar. The menu is extensive, but our server took the time to explain everything and gave great recommendations. The food was absolutely delicious ? so much so that we ended up eating more than we probably should have. Didn't have the best table, but didn't really matter. Overall, a very satisfying and memorable experience.

I loved the food! I?d definitely recommend coming here. Staff are super friendly & welcoming! Ruth & Beth were amazing, they?re super sweet!! Dog-friendly outdoor seating, all the staff were very nice to my dog!

The food is phenomenal, the server was super nice and attentive, the chai is to die for, and the veranda provides a beautiful relaxing atmosphere! Also the chai is bottomless during the day time so definitely go before 6pm!

Spectacular. Been there twice during my last stay in the UK. One of the best indian restaurant I have ever tried. Service is excellent. Kudos to Sara and Mika. The only disappointing thing are the drinks: worst aperol spritz ever and all generally overpriced and watered down. Better stick to the lovely lassi. Highly recommended.
