This was my first visit to Daylesford Organic, and it will most certainly be my last. I was served by an older lady who was extremely unpleasant and unnecessarily rude. Upon entering the store, neither of the staff members offered so much as a greeting. While browsing, I took a quick photo of some produce to send to my father, for whom I was shopping for. Out of nowhere, the older woman exclaimed across the store, accusing me of ?filming her.?
I immediately apologised and clarified that the photo was for my father, and that she was nowhere near the frame ? in fact, she was on the opposite side of the store, making it literally impossible for her to have been included. (Besides, why would I have wanted a photo of her?)
Despite my apology, she continued to make snide, unnecessary remarks until I left ? abandoning what would have been a considerable purchase. While I can appreciate that stores may have policies regarding photography, there is absolutely no excuse for such discourtesy. Management should seriously reconsider the suitability of this staff member especially considering all the other bad reviews that have been left on a nice store.

I visited Daylesford Organic today for a matcha latte. First time but definitely the last. There was no waiter around, so I assumed the tables might be self-service. I ordered a matcha to take away, then sat down with my drink. A waiter approached and the very first thing he said was, ?Sorry, tables are not for self service.? I apologized, explaining I didn?t know, but was already sitting with my drink. He repeated the phrase with attitude. I asked, ?Sorry, you just want to kick me out?? and his answer was, ?I?m afraid that?s the case.?
Instead of offering a solution or a polite alternative, I was essentially asked to leave ? despite already being a paying customer. I then asked for sparkling water, which was brought to me? still water.
I understand places have rules, but good hospitality is about making customers feel welcome, not unwelcome. Sadly, this experience felt more like being policed than being served.

If I could give zero stars, I would)
I went to this café for the first time, bought a coffee and something sweet, and simply wanted to sit for a short while because my leg was in pain ? I?m a disabled person and wear long leg braces. Despite having paid for my food, a staff member came over and told me I wasn?t allowed to stay because it was ?takeaway food.? The way they spoke to me was rude, unkind, and completely lacking in empathy. I wasn?t taking up space for long, just needed a brief rest, but I was made to feel unwelcome and embarrassed in front of others. This experience has left a very bad impression, and I will never be returning.

I had breakfast there with a friend on a weekday. Overall a nice experience but certainly pricey. Nothing stood out specifically so hard to justify the premium. Having said that, also nothing to criticise as such

We wanted to get some pastries from the ground floor, then because of the rain decided to stay and eat in.
Only at the end we realized the prices for a sit down are 50% higher for the same pastry, and when we mentioned it to the staff they basically blew us away.
This was so disappointing, and they couldn?t care less. So overpriced and not worth it.

Warning: This shop lists lower prices on shelves than what they charge at the till. Happened to me again today ? no excuse, no apology. Feels like a scam. Check your receipts!

I?ve been to many Daylesfords in my time and this one takes the cake (the courgette lime cake that is!) From the food, to the staff, to the displays - I simply cannot get enough!
If you?re looking to go on a Hinge date in the world?s most expensive café, look no further! The salmon is organic and my bank, is now empty.
If you?re looking for dishware so overpriced you?d think you?re buying the Holy Grail - do not fear! Just look downstairs where the glassware is so fancy you want to break one just to feel something.
If you drank too much kombucha and are in desperate need of an ablution this is the place to BE. With a variety of options, (men, women and disabled), you?re spoilt for choice!
In all seriousness, Daylesford is one of the few stores that prioritises its people and customers, offering a warm welcome whenever I come in. Also I don?t think they?re actually organic.

Exquisite food in a beautiful setting in the Cotswold. Very expensive though. Definitely recommended if you haven't been here yet

Shame I don?t know what?s going on with Dylesford ? Went for ?lunch? around 11.30/45 on a Sunday. Very odd menu - no breakfast or brunch option. My salmon was a very strange dish (photo attached) for £18

No wonder this place is low-rated. We had an awful experience. The staff was insulting. They refused us seating while the tables were empty and not reserved. Although we had a pricey order, they still refused to seat us with insulting attitudes and behaviour. They even decided to kick us out of the cafe.
It was such a traumatic experience, and we will never go back there again.
We are still waiting for the ?refund? they were supposed to have issued, but it has not arrived until now.

Granola portion was very small. Lots of yogurt and very little granola. Asked for more and only received about an egg cup more granola.

The Cafe/restaurant is hugely overpriced for its unfortunately tasteless food, which is a pity as I like to support this place - more particularly because the business is down £76.8m to date on what is otherwise a very worthwhile enterprise.
