I purchased an evening wine tasting voucher for two on Virgin experiences for my boyfriends birthday. Last night we attended the session and had the best time. Our host Sam made the evening incredibly enjoyable and his colleagues couldn?t have been more helpful and attentive (refilling the wine, making sure the room was a good temperature and even offering an umbrella to walk over to the toilets). We learnt so much and Sam was more than happy to answer any questions we had. The evening was relaxing and we didn?t feel rushed at all. We sampled 8 tasty wines with a welcome drink included! We loved the information sheets that made the information easy to follow and enjoyed meeting others who attended the session. Thank you to Sam and colleagues for a fantastic experience. 10/10 would recommend! Amazing value for money.

Went to Davy's wine shop for a wine tasting last night and had a great time. Sam is very personable and easy to speak to, sharing his knowledge and we learnt a lot. He kept the session interesting engaging and informative whilst also having fun with plenty of side story's. The other gent's working in the shop also added to the experience, adding to Sam's story's and explanation's where needed. Overall amazing experience, would recommend this to all my friends who would like a similar experience. They are very generous with top ups and the wine's were excellent, we bought a bottle of our favorite red and were also gifted a bottle of the house white.

Attended a wine tasting session at Davy's Wine Merchants Greenwich this evening with Sam and I must say that it was very informative & thoroughly enjoyable. The ambience was relaxed with a great group of people and I highly recommend.This was a gift from my daughter who was unable to attend, but I'm definitely going to book another session for her to enjoy this experience.

A gem of a wine shop with a fantastic selection and super helpful staff. I've also recently been for a private wine tasting with a group of 10 people, it was a brilliant evening and such good value. Sam was incredibly knowledgeable and designed a bespoke tasting based on our likes/interests, and he put up with a fairly rowdy group who thoroughly enjoyed themselves! Shout out also to Jake who ensured the event ran smoothly and we were topped up all evening. Fabulous value for money too. Will definitely be back soon! 100% recommend :) :)

Sam is an absolute legend and knows his stuff.Went in here a week and a half ago needing to buy 6 or so bottles of wine to host a wine club with friends. I gave Sam the brief of what kind of experience I was looking to drive with my mates and he delivered!I was hosting a blind tasting with an elimination format and I wanted 3 bottles of Riesling and 3 bottles of Pinot Noir. It was important for me to have each bottle come from different countries, with characteristics that may trip people up, and at a classic high, medium, low price point. Sam took me around his shop, he explained what made each bottle unique, and how it would compare to the others.I walked away feeling really confident I had a good selection and a couple of nights later, so did my friends - bravo Sam, bravo.Thank you for helping me host my first wine club.

Thoroughly enjoyed my second time at Davy?s for a wine tasting. Sam and Adam hosted our group of 14 for one of their private tastings in-store. A fantastic evening all round; we tried and learned about some delicious wines and were taught techniques for tasting. They were welcoming, knowledgable and took extra time with our large group. Everyone said they would definitely book this again, it was great value for money and we all felt very cultured whilst getting quite tipsy! Thank you Sam and Adam.

Excellent shop and teamWhen I was thinking of a gift for my hubbie?s 40th birthday, I knew I wanted to treat him to some top wines as he is passionate about wine. Davy?s Wine in Greenwich was my go-to choice because I have been shopping there for a few years now - they always stock a huge range of excellent wines.Sam manages the Greenwich store and when I called he was immediately enthusiastic about helping me put a gift package together. Over the course of the next couple of weeks we chatted over the phone and exchanged emails to pin down the right choices. He was so generous with his knowledge and time and was incredibly helpful, sending over detailed notes on each wine and proposing packages based on what we had discussed. He even included beautiful wooden, silk-lined boxes for the wines. I really was delighted with what he put together. And it was fun working with him too, he is a great guy.Sam really is a credit to Davy?s Wine. I cannot recommend this shop highly enough, and a big thank you to Sam for the success of the gift, it was very happily received I am happy to report!
