It was my first time at Crofton Park Option. I was charged for the midrange lenses at a cost of £280, with my own frame I bought for £310. They misplaced the reading in vertical area in the lenses.I was told by the optician to take back glasses if it doesn't get better, in a few days, which I did. They replaced other lenses, this time, they placed it in the correct position as my old lenses.I tried it on, and reading was fine, but the far distance was like I'm looking through a glass of water. I wasn't satisfied with the new lenses they used. What I found out is that they used cheaper lenses to replace the higher price one I paid for at first, which didn't fit properly. I had to do a refund. They destroyed the original dummy lenses that came with the frame, which will now make it difficult for another optician to take measurement without the dummy lenses inside the frame.I felt bullied how they handled the matter when I asked for the refund and original lenses the frame came with.I wouldn't recommend this optician. AVOID!

This optician is fantastic, with friendly expert staff and a really helpful attitude and service. My initial eye test was very smooth and professional, and Karen helped me pick out the most amazing pair of glasses which I?ve since had countless compliments about. This week, I accidentally broke my glasses lens with 3 days to go before a holiday, and these heroes immediately ordered me a new lens as a rush job, and also squeezed me in between appointments the very next day to get the lens fitted.I so appreciated the personal care and effort, when so many other businesses would shrug and say there?s nothing they can do. If you?re looking for a local opticians, this one is worth going out of your way for :)

Young Asian lady......... needs to take a short course on customer Relations! No manners at all.I rebooked but to avoid the cold atmosphere and awful smell in the shop. I ended up in A&E. The service was much better, Will never use this shop again.

Extremely helpful and caring. My family member was visiting from Devon and had a suspected detached retina, which she was extremely worried about. I phoned up as they are local to me, it was almost closing time on a Friday and they still made time for her and gave her the best care and advice possible. She went on to hospital the following day as you advised and they were able to sort it for her, she is so grateful to your practice and mentioned how incredibly kind and thorough you all were. Thank you so much x

I have very complex eye issues and trust Crofton Park Opticians to do the absolute best with them. From the friendly and helpful front desk staff to the optician who takes time with each patient to the well-informed fitting team, they are all consummate professionals and I don't trust anywhere else with my eyecare. Extremely grateful to have them in my local area.

I highly recommend this place, especially after having tried all the big names in the past (Boots, Specsavers, 20/20 etc). They have a large and eclectic selection of frames - I've always been able to find exactly what I was looking for. Staff are super friendly, highly knowledgable and extremely helpful. Cynthia in particular deserves a special shout out as she dropped off several items at my house in person, during the lockdown phase were all non-keyworkers were asked to stay in-doors. Their service is truly above and beyond. If you live anywhere close to one of their branches you should pay them a visit - you will not regret it.

A family friend had reccomended after I had been suffering for a long time with severe eye pain that other opticians could not find a solution for. I had an over the phone consultation and was then booked in super quick for an appointment, the customer service and care I received was amazing and my eye issue has been solved! Will now be coming here for future check ups or any concerns I have. Thank you so much! Ria

Excellent service from Dr Patel at Crofton Opticians. Was able to explain why my eye test results had been different at two different opticians and helped me understand my eyesight and prescription properly. Well worth paying for a proper test and visiting an optometrist willing to take the time.

Saw Dr. Patel for an emergency eye check up for my husband. While during this tough times another eye clinic tried feeding off our fear Dr. Patel was very kind and reassuring. After the check up he explained the problem and reassured that it was nothing to worry about (while was told by another clinic that he might lose his sight in 24 hrs!). Very professional environment. The lovely receptionist Cynthia who knows her job best. Will definitely recommend this clinic to all.

Unfortunately I did not have the same experience as another on this thread who was in need of an emergency appointment.Update: I spent 3 1/2 hours in the A&E to be seen for 8 minutes; it took this optomolgist longer to respond to this review than it would have to had seen me this morning.I phoned Crofton Park Opticians on a Saturday morning suffering from a painful case of, excuse the spelling, blufforites. I?d had this infection more than a few times in the past and I had my the expired bottles of the previous drugs that treated it very well. I?d spent much of the morning going in circles w/ the NHS only to be told to either go to an A&E or an optomolgist. As I was spending the morning with my 2 year daughter the required time to be treated at the A&E was going to be very difficult to arrange so I had hoped that I could get 10 minutes with the doctor to get the medication filled until I could make an appointment through my GP later in the week. I had gone through this process so many times by this point I knew exactly the perception and treatment method.I phoned and spoke to the receptionist who told me the optomolgist was fully booked. I explained my situation and I was told I?d receive a call back in 10 minutes. I eventually called them back to be told the optomolgist would not make time to see me. Again explaining calm and politely that the infection was very painful and I was very experienced with threading it. The receptionist handed me to the optomolgist who insisted that he would not write me a prescription without inspecting the eye and he would not make time for me. I again explained the situation, knowing it would only take 10 minutes to confirm the infection and another 5 minutes to confirm and write the prescription. The optomolgist told me that blufforites will not lead to blindness and I can either wait until Monday or go into an A&E. Any attempt to explain the reluctance to going into the A&E was met with him over talking me and refusing to see me.I am now in my 2nd hour sitting in an A&E in Shoreditch after having disrupted the plans of a very understanding sister-in-law.This optomolgist was neither compassionate nor patient with a new client in pain. I won?t be registering with this practice as my local optomolgist, even being 10 minutes walk from my new home.
