Reflecting on my recent visit to Crockett & Jones, I had mixed feelings about the experience. Undoubtedly, the quality of their products, particularly the Boston shoes I purchased, is exceptional. However, my visit was overshadowed by an unsettling encounter.Upon entering the store, I was met with an initial inquiry about whether I was in the right place, which made me feel a bit out of place. As I proceeded with my purchase, I couldn't help but notice an uncomfortable atmosphere, especially with the demeanor of certain staff members. Moreover, there was an incident where two staff members engaged in laughter during my transaction, which left me feeling quite uneasy. This behavior felt unprofessional and, to be honest, was disappointing considering the reputation Crockett & Jones holds for its quality products.I believe that every customer, irrespective of background, should feel welcomed and valued in any establishment. It's crucial for companies to ensure their staff provide a respectful and inclusive environment for all patrons.Despite this disappointing experience, I must acknowledge the remarkable craftsmanship of their shoes. However, it's my hope that Crockett & Jones takes this feedback seriously and implements measures to cultivate a more welcoming atmosphere for all customers in the future.

Walked into this store in Burlington Arcade on a Saturday afternoon, 23 September, to query about the Chelsea 8 boots, only to be talked down to by a very short tempered, burly British man of African descent who had apparently been working at the store for 2 years. 2 measly years - much younger than the Chelsea 8 boots I own - gave this inexperienced, rude man the self-righteous complacency to talk to me as if I was dirt being dragged through the store. Perhaps it was my plainly-dressed, young and mild-mannered approach of speaking to him that drew in his mind a lowly profiled customer incapable of understanding his mistreatment, because one would hate to think it was because of my foreign, Asian ethnicity? That would be ironic. Also ironically, at one point after he rolled his eyes at me I had to very gently remind him the true dynamic of our relationship with a ?YOU can HELP ME understand [how to differentiate these 500 pound boots from the next] i.e. stop profiling me and do YOUR JOB to sell me an expensive shoe because they won?t sell themselves and you?re certainly not buying them, so help me help you stay employed - brutal (as was his tone) but not untrue.I smiled and thanked him (for nothing) and pottered down to the other Crockett & Jones at Jermyn St where a rather green but lovely salesman, Adam, assisted me in purchasing my boots. What Adam lacked in experience, he made up for with patience, enthusiasm and politeness. See? Not too difficult to sell an expensive shoe to a poor man, especially since at no point did I give anyone a hard time, but because I am capable of writing a scathing review, I will, with the luxury of time. I may appear young and foreign but I?m no fool, and I am as vindictive as I am plainly dressed. You profiled me very wrong.

Served by Ben on Sunday who was excellent. The store was busy but service and advice was definitely a five star experience. I will defiantly be back as and when I need shoes or advice. If you are not sure on size or styles available, it is definitely worth making a trip.

Came in yesterday to buy a pair of chestnut Belgrave?s and two belts. Amazing service and kind staff. This morning we came back to change the belts to a larger size which was no problem and in a matter of minutes our belt problem was solved.Definitely will be going back here on my next trip. Thanks gentleman.

What a beautiful experience. One of only two stores nearby who have their women?s range. I tried their lovely Chelsea boots in store just to get an idea of my size as I don?t live in the UK.They are kind, wonderfully attentive and offer a wide range of options. Their boots and footwear is popular so they do tend to run out of stock quickly.

I have visited this elegant establishment on numerous occasions and have always found the staff to be polite and friendly and very knowledgeable about their products and I have even had a compliment on my mirror shine shoes from a staff member, which I will remember for a long time to come and I would bring my custom back here, any time of the day or week.

Was made to feel quite welcomed as soon as I had entered the shop like it was home. The staff team are pretty friendly and helpful, as I was quickly provided the pair of boots that I've been looking for. A special thanks to one of the staff named James, who made absolutely certain I was happy with the boots and how they fit before we proceed any further.Cheers, mate.

Nice shop with a great selection of shoes. Service is good and very thorough. Friendly team. Shoemaker is displayed in the latest James Bond movie which they try and milk tonthe maximum which is annoying. First time i try this classic UK brand, shoes are not on the cheap side, especially not the shoes accessories (i.g. 75£ for shoes tree)

I purchased a £530 pair of CONISTON boots from them.I question the size when they were delivered as the laces pulled the quarters close together. After wearing them for 4 months the quarters are touching.Hence I decided to purchase a pair of insoles to pad out the boots.Only to find my 10.5 size boot swallowed a size 12 Scholl insole. leaving room in the tow.I supplied a photograph of the issue to Crockett & Jones assistant Millie Kiernan. Who claimed after 4 month of wear the boots were worn out.My previous Clarks boots (Costing £68) are still going after 5 years. They were used in exactly the same way as the Crockett & Jones CONISTON boots walking the dog twice a day in all my Clarks boots have walked 11.338 KM and are still going strong where the Crockett & Jones CONISTON boots have walked 906 Km Millie Kiernan states they are worn out.I would say the Crockett and Jones boots were not good value. And are exceptionally bad quality. Only to be walked in for 906 KM before Crockett & Jones sales representative to state they are worn out.
