We ordered two dishes and two soft drinks, but found the meal quite pricey for what was essentially just rice and soft drinks. The food lacked depth ? no wok hei, no sesame oil aroma, and no real umami flavor. The ?beef? was cut into pieces so tiny that it was hard to tell, let alone taste, if it was actually beef.
Service was okay, but when I asked to move to a different table, I was told it was reserved for incoming customers. Oddly enough, no one ever showed up, and the table sat empty for the entire time we were there.
With so many other restaurants nearby, I?d recommend looking elsewhere if you want to truly enjoy and taste what you?re eating.

Refused entry because it's in a casino. I didn't have my ID with me but I'm 37.

I?ve visited here so often and it always amazing. Foods are decent. Service is great! Crispy pork with rice is always my favourite dish. Will keep coming back always!

Was looking for a quieter Chinese restaurant in Chinatown and found this place. The food is yummy and it?s run by The Four Seasons. CK is such a joy to chat with and offers great hospitality. The only thing is that the restaurant is located on the lower ground, with the casino upstairs, but the restaurant area is relatively quiet.

They don?t welcome casino guests to come dine here. The casino ordered some food for us but once we arrived the restaurant we were thrown out. Rudest place in london.

Inside Hippodrome on bottom floor. Great service, very friendly and patient. Food was spot-on ? hard to find a Chinese around China Town. Plenty of vegetarian options.

Succulent meal and top-notch service! Mr. William goes above and beyond with spot-on recommendations, and a big thanks to Choppi for his tireless hard work. Poor little robot one day, with enough overtime, he just might be the gaffer.

The restaurant is inside the casino. The best part of the restaurant is it open until 3:00 am if you are really hungry and don?t want eat fast food. The food is not authentic Chinese food but Western Chinese food.

Considering the location it is in, the value and quality of food and service you recieve is exceptional, the Roasted duck is my recommendation should you visit. Staff were extremely welcoming, special mention to CK who was extremely polite and helpful and set the tone for a truly great night. :)

Really nice restaurant inside the casino and nice reasonably priced food. Great service too. I had the signature (duck and pork with rice) and it was delicious.

Not quite sure how to begin this one?
Let?s start with the basics: we had a reservation at Chop Chop. My parents were let in after a standard bag check at the main casino entrance. When it came to me, however, the interaction shifted in tone ? I was asked abruptly for ID, with a look that suggested I was somehow out of place.
I?m 26, dressed in an understated but clearly refined outfit. Calm and polite, I offered a photo of my passport (next to my face, for clarity). The response? A sharp ?No photo. Only physical,? with no explanation and a dismissive attitude.
We turned back and entered through another door. Same bag check, different mood: suspicious yet courteous, and welcoming.
It would be amusing ? if it hadn?t cast a shadow over the rest of the evening. Especially because, once inside, the contrast with the door policy was striking. The dining room was buzzing ? in the less charming sense ? with loud conversations, rushed service, and a crowd whose etiquette didn?t quite match the front-of-house stringency.
The food? Good. The dim sum and char siu buns were soft and fragrant, the roast duck and pork executed with solid technique, and the X.O. noodles balanced and enjoyable. A clear sense of know-how in the kitchen. Simple, but no false notes.
I?ve dined in many places where the experience is orchestrated from door to dessert with harmony and precision. That wasn?t quite the case here.
One leaves unsure what standard is truly being upheld ? and for whom.
