Really slow service and clueless staff! The staff downstairs sent us upstairs to be seated turned out the table still dirty there?s shortage of staff 2 people just in charge upstairs and the male really clumsy and don?t want to work we ordered 5-6 dishes then 15 minutes later he told us 2 dishes were sold out and he offered no alternative we had so ask him multiple questions regarding the availability of the dishes. For example we ordered a Labneh dip after 15 minutes he told us it?s sold out there?s no dips we asked him if the feta dip available he said yes!
Dessert arrived before main dishes.
The only one was really helpful upstairs was female with blue eyes.

Chestnut Bakery in Covent Garden has quickly become one of my favorite spots in London for pastries and coffee. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a modern yet cozy design that makes it perfect for a relaxed break during a busy day in the city.
The staff are friendly, which adds to the overall experience and makes you feel at home even in the middle of a busy area like Covent Garden.
The highlight for me is definitely their tiramisu Danish. It?s unlike anything I?ve tried before. It feels indulgent without being overly sweet, and it?s the kind of pastry you?ll think about long after you?ve left. I honestly would come back just for that one item.
They also offer a wide selection of baked goods, The coffee is consistently good too, which makes it a perfect pairing with any pastry. I also appreciate that everything feels fresh, and the presentation of the pastries makes it hard to choose just one. The place is great whether you want to sit inside and enjoy the calm atmosphere or grab something to take away while exploring Covent Garden.
What?s exciting is that Chestnut Bakery also has another branch in Riyadh, so it?s great to see them bringing their unique style and quality to different parts of the world.
If you?re in Covent Garden and looking for a bakery that goes beyond the usual, I highly recommend Chestnut Bakery.

Had the pistachio raspberry croissant here and it was amazing. Super flaky, loads of flavour, and the combo just worked. Nice cosy spot too with really friendly staff. Pricey, but honestly worth it for a treat.

I expected more. Food was mediocre at best. Hot chocolate was delicious.

French toast tasted like heaven but I'd have loved if it looked a bit more aesthetic with some real fruits ? also had to wait for +30mins for a table for 2 people even though we came super early in the morning. We were told that the upstairs seating opens after 10am on a Saturday, not ideal ????
Nice atmosphere overall

The quality of bread and croissants in this bakery is great (probably impossible to find better in central London). However, the service is very slow - there is always a queue but the place itself has two floors which are often half packed - we were quite surprised after queuing to get in for 15 min to realise that lots of tables are empty on the upper floor. Suggest checking it!

Suman is the best employee in this restaurant! He is very friendly, professional, and always provides excellent service. The restaurant itself is amazing ? the food is delicious, the atmosphere is welcoming, and everything is always clean and well organized. Highly recommended

The food is nice but to be honest I haven?t gone often as it?s so pricey. Everything feels about a two quid more than it should be which I know is probably due to the address.Hope they expand and become the next Gail?s, prices and all.Otherwise yummy food!

I had high expectations for this bakery from all the social media hype and found it just okay. I think the issue was we were at the bakery after 2pm on a Saturday and the options I wanted were not there , I think the sweet treats are definitely really great , the tiramisu one was beautiful, cappuchino was creamy but do not get the vegan sandwich it was not good, just slabs of aubergine and wasn't even soft ! Hopefully next time I can get the items I want.

Don't get me wrong, the pastries and coffee were amazing from here, but for three pastries and two coffees we paid 30 pounds?
There s plenty other bakeries in the area
