To Caffè Nero Management,
I?m writing as a loyal and regular customer to express my deep frustration after an unacceptable experience at your Charing Cross Station branch on Thursday 14th May 2025 between 8:10-8:18pm.
I brought my best friend to try your new matcha drinks, which I had personally recommended. Instead, we were greeted by a trainee Lady barista (red t-shirt) with visible annoyance, no welcome, and shockingly rude behaviour throughout. I ordered an iced matcha with coconut milk and less ice, but it was made with dairy milk and full ice?extremely careless, especially since my friend is dairy-intolerant.
When we calmly explained the mistake, the barista responded with aggressive hand gestures, raised her voice, and told us to ?get out.? I was stunned. Rather than apologising, she argued and said, ?This is how I talk.? She continuously spoke in a foreign language (Bangladeshi) to her co-worker (black t-shirt), who didn?t intervene at all.shame!!
This was one of the most embarrassing and disrespectful customer service experiences I?ve ever had, especially in front of someone I brought to your café for the first time. I strongly urge you to review the CCTV footage between that time and take action. No customer should be treated this way.
Honestly, I visit Nero almost every day?but after this, I?m genuinely afraid to return, especially with guests.

On 10/04/2025, I go here everyday for a Flat White. I order that because, they use whole milk for that.
In regard to this, the staff used semi skimmed milk which I am intolerant. I asked them twice about it. They said ?I used whole
Milk?. Even though I saw them using semi skimmed.
Very disappointed with the service and staff lying about it.

Ok place but the staff is extremely unfriendly (all very young girls when I was there), unprofessional and unhelpful. All on their phone constantly, especially the (what appeared to be a) supervisor. Leading by example eh?

Single origin coffee is really good, subtle with smooth undertones. Food is also really good. My favourite is pistachio cheesecake, vegan sausage roll, tuna panini, mozzarella and tomato panini. Store can get really busy in peak times considering its proximity to Charing Cross station but staff still manage to uphold the service standards and the food stick is still good to give you variety and multiple options to choose from.

For the location it's usually quite quiet , especially downstairs. Always nice to take a break in there. Staff is nice and quick. There's a toilet downstairs.

Probably the worst cafe Nero in the whole chain . Staff that don't have any social skills or customer service . No basic understanding of English and are very poor at their jobs . I love a Nero but this one is awful. Take a walk 3 mins up old Compton street and go to one of the best in the chain .

WORST SERVICE plus AGGRESSIVE STAFF. spent 2.98 quid on a cuppa tea (5.95 in total), kindly asked for fulfilling water, was refused once with no reason, we politely asked twice, fulfilled 1/5 of a cup LMAO. the worst barista I ever met, it?s just water LOL shame on Caffè Nero. 3rd January, night shift guy xx
