We got the curry chicken with rice and peas, plantain and spicy cabbage. Food was very wholesome and had an authentic taste to it. Portions were very generous. The service from Warren and the staff was impeccable they were polite, friendly and warming, Warren was nice enough to give me a taster of the ackee and saltfish and even gave us some festivals as well. Will definitely come here again, next visit will definitely be the restaurant in Loughton. Thanks goes to Warren for a memorable experience.Parking: Parking free after 7pm

In all honestly I wasn't expecting much from a small hole in the wall located at the back of Spitalfields Market but I was happily proved wrong! The curried mutton was to die for - the perfect balance of spice and flavour. When eaten with the perfectly cooked rice and peas (which is hard to get right) it was simply amazing! Had a side of Mac & Cheese, which also was pretty decent. Would 10/10 recommend.

Very basic caribbean food. I have been eating it for years and can't say i was impressed. The patties were nice. That's why i gave 3 stars. The bbq chicken, rice, and peas were basic.

I got the beef stew that was piping hot. With a side of plantains which was warmed up before being handed to me. The crew are friendly and efficient. It is a small stall but they smoothly flow through the place. The food was really good and give you the energy to walk around the rest of the market and enjoy the

Visiting London for the first time and in need of some Caribbean food. Found Cafe Caribbean on yelp a short walk from the Hotel, which is close to Tower Bridge and surrounding areas. It's more of a takeaway spot, but plenty of sitting areas are next to the venue. The food was excellent and you are given these Tupperware like containers that allowed you to carry and store anything leftover from your meal. They also have the assortment of patties from lamb to shrimp. It's also situated in an area with a food court and swap meet like experience.

Food: Me and my friend got the Jamaican jerk chicken and the oxtail with beansand the former eclipsed the latter. The jerk chicken had an excellent amount of spice to it as well as the meat falling off the bone. It was made to perfection. The oxtail with beans were good, but unfortunately just didn't hit the heights that the jerk chicken did - that being said the oxtail was no slouch and the flavour was good albeit a bit salty. The fried chicken and plantains we ordered as well were both solid if unspectacular.Admittedly, we did get there 20 minutes after closing so seeing our food be microwaved as well as there having no sides was disappointing but very understandable from the perspective of the restaurant as we did enter after it officially closed.Service: The service was okay. Not the best but definitely not the worst.Atmosphere: hard to rank that as its part of Spitalfields Market. But the energy around the stall was good.

Food is ok, portion size Is average, however I don't think the food is made fresh, on every occasion I have come here, they would take the Veggie curry out of the fridge/container and microwave it.The staff memebers are always unapproachable, and hostile, the service is abysmal to say the least, I have therefore stopped coming here. The market itself has a lovely vibe with lots of options for food and drinks to try out.Difficult to find a seating area on the weekends, as It gets busy, usually you'd have to jump right in as soon as you see people leaving from their tables...

I had their white rice, curry mutton and fried plantain as an extra. It was very tasty...might be a bit too spicy for others but I totally enjoyed it...staff were friendly...I would recommend to those who like a spicy curry other than typical Indian cuisine...prices a bit on the higher side...but everything is these days.

A bit of a mixed bag really. While the mains are great, the stew was flavorful and well worth it, some of the sides are very hit and miss. The spicy cabbage was nice and gave everything a good kick but the mac and cheese was bland and rather clunky and the lamb patty had good flavor but the actual pastry was doughy and wet.

Customer service was amazing. I've tried carribean food once before and was unsure about what to expect. The owner gave me a taste of the mutton curry and I had to get it!Ordered a jerk chicken and a mutton curry and was not disappointed. The mutton curry was well spiced and perfectly cooked that I went back to ask them how they prepared it. The jerk chicken was cooked well and tasted great. Would defo recommend.Yes, they put food in containers but they do fill it to the absolute max and I found it enough and I've just had a month of fasting.Said it was halal too.

TLDR; Great Service and Rice & Peas, but Jerk Chicken Falls Short. If you're looking for a place to grab a quick and easy lunch during the workday, this spot has friendly staff and a speedy ordering process that'll get you in and out in no time. The rice and peas were definitely a highlight of the meal, with the perfect texture and flavor. Unfortunately, the jerk chicken left something to be desired. While it was cooked well, it lacked the smoky flavor that comes from being cooked over a drum bbq. Overall, it's a decent spot for a quick bite, but if you're looking for standout jerk chicken, you might want to look elsewhere.

The food here tasted amazing, we had vegetable curry and it was packed with flavour, great portion sizes. I?ve recently come back from St Lucia and this was on par with all the local food we ate there. Best food I?ve had in Spitalfields, recommend recommend recommend!

A nice place to try some jerk chicken, but it doesn?t taste like I remember it from Jamaica? portions are a bit on the smaller size, I?d prefer them a bit larger. Tasted OK, norhing special, so do make a stop here if you?re into Caribbean food.

I normally go for fried chicken, but when I'm around Spitalfields I can't resist coming here for the jerk chicken, with beans and rice - the coconut and spices in the rice are absolutely spot on, the beans are just the right velvet texture, and the chicken is just too good.I'm happy to pay a tenner for it; two juicy thighs and enough rice to keep me quiet for a few hours. I usually get three wings for four quid too - they really are mood-liftingly delicious. They've got the curried goat and the patties if you're leaning that way - and lots of Caribbean drink options like Ginger beer, Super Malt... this is worth waiting in the queue for, believe me.
