First & foremost after reading several reviews on this store, I think it?s important to keep in mind that this shop is a counter-service style perfume shop. This means that customers cannot just walk up to any fragrance and spray it, they actually have to have an attendant assist. Some people love this style of perfume store, others don?t.Typically, I am wary of them as I like to experience fragrance at my own pace and don?t feel comfortable with the 1:1 sales experience.However, when I walked in there was only one other customer in the shop about 45 mins before closing. Lena assisted me, and she was incredibly kind. I didn?t have a purpose to going in, I am an avid perfume fan and love experiencing new, niche fragrances. This store did not disappoint. Lena and I smelled over 20 fragrances, and chatted about the different points of each. At no point did I feel pressured to purchase or that my thoughts about a fragrance were wrong. I ended up purchasing 3 small fragrance samples that were reasonably priced between £4-5, which come in lovely little spray bottles (not dabbers) with the label, notes & a QR code to learn more about the fragrance. I discovered several new niche brands & the samples I took home were completely unique, like nothing I?d ever smelled before.I was apprehensive of the counter service experience, but ended up loving it. I?m so glad I had Lena to assist me, and I?m looking forward to returning for another smell session with her very soon! Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon!

The most rude customer service I have ever experienced in London in ages.I feel like they think they're very important or something ?You know when people aren't posh, but they're trying their hardest to come off as such; that's the vibe I got from them."So, you don't like anything" is one of the lovely phrases I had the chance to hear from one of the employees today(the one with the head scarf).Also, the chuckle between her and the other female employee, barely one meter from me, while giving me the side eye is a cherry on the cake.It's just really sad, isn't it? Some people are on that level in 2024.What a tragedy!

Although the perfumes smell heavenly, you have to wait around 30mins just to enter the shop. Staff are professional listen carefully and help you with what you need.

Was gifted a private session to create a bespoke perfume. It was a great experience and I love the resulting perfume. Also a great store for unique, in some cases, exclusive perfumes.

I was sorely disappointed by my experience here yesterday, and felt very unwelcome. Having heard about Bloom on my favourite fragrance podcast I was excited to visit, see their vast collection, and smell a few perfumes on my wish list to see if I actually like them enough to buy this year. When my partner and I arrived the shop was cordoned off and the door was shut, almost as if it was closed for the day. After browsing some other stores we came back. The door was open but there was still a retractable belt barrier in front of us. We stood there (outside in the cold) trying to make eye contact with staff but for at least 5 minutes no one acknowledged us, which felt very rude. Finally, one staff member came, and when we asked if they were open we were told the store was very busy and however we could come in and browse. The shop was busy, so we couldn?t really move around all that much. I noticed a fragrance from BTSO I wanted to smell, but when I walked towards it I was told that they operate a ?counter service? and I couldn?t access anything behind the counter unless the staff member did it for me, and they were both busy with other customers and gave no indication that they would get to me or serve me. Overall, I felt very dismissed and unwelcome, and after being ignored, then let in (seemingly reluctantly), then told off for trying to smell a perfume myself in a perfume shop?.. I decided to just leave without smelling a single fragrance. I was quite upset, and to be honest after being so excited to visit the experience put a cast over the rest of my evening and I will not be returning. Was considering bringing a friend to buy them something for their birthday but will go to another much more friendly perfume shop in Belgravia where the staff are lovely (even when the shop is busy!) and you can actually sample things yourself. Glad others have had positive experiences

I went there today expecting to be able to navigate the store but I was surprised to see you're advised by someone at a counter. The employee was sweet and very helpful despite my total lack of knowledge (I couldn't really explain what I was looking for) and I found a scent I really like. However the manager/owner (red hair, rude- I assume she's the manager of the place?) berated her twice in front of me and sort of made sure I understood that her employee did not do things the way she (the manager) liked. I found it really off putting and I feel sorry for this kind vendor as she seemed really stressed out and generally trying her best. Honestly made it look like such a terrible workplace. BELITTLING YOUR EMPLOYEES DOES NOT MAKE YOU SEEM MORE COMPETENT. I do hope the kind young woman who helped me today is okay and that she gets better treatment in the future. Seeing her get scolded was not a nice experience, and from other reviews I can see it was hardly the first time and that this red-haired woman is just routinely rude.Edit: I ordered a few samples 3 weeks ago that got lost in the post; despite my repeated attemps to get a refund or another order shipped, I keep being told that it's because of the Royal Mail strike. I have not been inconvenienced at all by the strike and have received every other parcel that was sent timely. For some reason Bloom would rather argue with a customer over 4 tiny overpriced vials and eventually lose their business than sending a replacement or refunding, which I requested multiple times over email. I now have to open a Paypal dispute. I can see from other reviews as well that not receiving your order is normal when you order from Bloom and that they will fight you about this, so my recommendation is always to order with Paypal to avoid refund headaches.

Very good selection of niche perfumes that are hard to find elsewhere. The guy that served us was very nice and really let us explore the perfumes at our own pace but the lady serving the people next to us seemed very standoffish and hostile even when they seemed interested in purchasing. I walked out happy with some samples and overall it was a very good experience , but I'm not sure it was for everyone else.

Amazing experience both times I went. Philip helped me find some of my favorite new niche perfumers and brands. I?m usually nervous to talk about perfumes because I don?t want my nose to be ?wrong? about what I?m smelling or picking up on, but I was so comfortable chatting with Philip about everything he pulled for me to smell. Just wonderful! Left the first day with several samples and the second with more samples and a full bottle that is perfection. Will 100% be purchasing online and stopping by the shop in person next time I?m in London.
