I have always loved the clothes in beyond retro so decided to check out dalston. Weird first experience going there. Staff are impolite. Looked at one of the girls when i was in there, loved her style and outfit (im a photographer so also always getting outfit inspo on shoots too). By this point i was then followed and watched by the security guard the whole time. I assume they thought i looked "suspicious" which i have no idea how. I've worked in retail before many times and have come across situations where there are ways to go around this, so therefore i understand you have to be cautious with customers, but today i did nothing out of the ordinary, i was just browsing and looking around for an outfit. I was made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome even when i was wanting to buy a few items i ended up getting towards the end (which i now think i shouldnt of even bought after feeling this way).I Felt disappointed to be treated this way as if i was thief or whatever, i know many people would feel uncomfortable feeling watched 24/7 and coming right up to you "pretending to fix the clothes whilst staring".

Interesting clothes and lovely staff but the store itself has a very peculiar smell that needs some attention.

Love this place, you won't leave without wanting to buy something!Excellent displays, very well stocked store, items grouped in sections for a comfortable buying experience.Very much on the expensive side... which will certainly stop me going again in the near future...otherwise I would have bought double the amount and it would be my GO TO place.Shame about the high prices.Apart from that, if you're okay with money, and want lots of preloved clothing...I highly recommend this place.

Crazy expensive honestly for second hand I know it?s like recycling and stuff but it?s inaccessible to most. I have seen things that are new for cheaper £20+ for a t shirt. £80 for overalls!

Didnt realise vintage clothes could be so reasonably priced. Got two great items under 25 each and loved how different they were to what i normally buy.

Large vintage store with loads of choice. I especially love the seasonal section with Halloween costumes or Christmas jumpers. Got some friendly service at the till. Good vibes.

Easily the best vintage shop in London. So organised... very sweet staff, and the cherry on the cake is that they do exchanges.

A great place, loads of interesting clothes, well selected and organised, and not bad prices. I picked up a couple of great Carhartt coats last time I popped in.But, if I may make a suggestion? The outside of the shop is a mess. In fact, I worry that Beyond Retro cannot survive in this location, as they seem to be doing all they can to stop people noticing the shop, or wanting to go in. It?s invisible to causal passers by. What is it? A pop up charity shop? Some kind of warehouse? What you need is better window displays, and, most of all, a big, beautiful neon sign over the door.
