£2k dining table. Have learnt over the last year that the table top marks from any small spill, even if mopped quickly. The top is not fit for purpose. Referred by B+S to external repairer, they can't fix this type of top and said B+S had a problem with their man made marble tops. Now in the hands of the ombudsman. Great pre sales service. I have since found more reviews with the same problem so I am even more confident it is a known fault. I raise now as the last spill was larger than the rest, so the damage is greater than the many splash marks already over the table.

We went to the showroom this weekend. I have never seen such an abysmal place in my life! Went online and identified some wardrobes that we wished to have a look at. They haven?t even got a proper bedroom department upstairs at the moment. It would have been manners to put something on their website, but they simply can?t be bothered. Won?t be wasting my time going here again.

Really bad experience purchasing from this store.We paid £1800 for a sofa that is nearly unusable. The sofa has two clear issues that the store has refused to take responsibility for:1) the back legs provided are several inches shorter than the front ones. This creates a steep downwards slope in the sofa and leads to back-breaking discomfort and real difficulty getting off the sofa. We raised this with them and were told it was the style and to nothing could be done. We have had to put two bricks under the back legs to make it manageable.2) There are grinding springs in the sofa. Everytime you move they grind together loudly. We had someone take a look at this and who stated it was not right, and they offered a solution by putting some sponge between the springs to stop the friction. Again, Baker Stonehouse excused this fault by saying it?s the style and nothing could be done.We tested the sofa at the store and these issues were not noticed.So we paid £1800 for a sofa that took 4 months to arrive and is on literal bricks and has been patched up with sponges. Even then, it?s still uncomfortable.The store accepted no responsibility to fix these issues. Once the sale went through, they didn?t care.I would seriously consider avoiding this store.We are now going down the route of a formal complaint to the Furniture &Home Improvement Ombudsman, which is a hassle we could do without.

My favourite furniture store in London! I don't understand the negative reviews ... I've had a fantastic experience there. I've browsed many times, and purchased twice - lovely customer service, and quality, unique furniture at good prices. My last purchase was a dining table and chairs - the delivery guys (Josh P & Gareth) were even incredibly nice about having to bring it up 5 flights of stairs :)

We have previously browsed the store and never felt any pressure to buy, so naturally this was a first stop when we were ready to actually find something to purchase.Kieran and Stephen were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to help us get our purchase delivered home super quickly and efficiently. We love the style of the furniture and the quality is amazing. We are super delighted with the service they have given and the chair we bought!

Bought 3 sofas here over the years. Loses a star as the last purchase had issue that needed their service department to fix and it took months.

I would suggest to avoid this store. We bought a sofa recently and it is stuffed with CHIKEN feathers and the smell is very bad. We called the store and the engineer came out suggesting to ventilate the house and keep the windows open, totally a joke !! Very disappointed and I have no solution but to complain to Ofgen !!!We have removed the sofa from the house and placed it on shed until we hear from Ofgen !!!

The best experience that I have ever had from a furniture shop.Good quality products at reasonable prices, no pushy sales tactics on the shop floor. Stephen Higgins offered fantastic service and made our experience very enjoyable.Even dealing with the customer service team was great. They always picked up the phone after two ringtones max, and knew the latest update on our delivery without the need to go on hold forever like with other companies.Finally, the delivery happened right at the quoted timeslot and was done by 2 very nice and professional staff.The shop is not in our local area at all but is now definitely our new favourite furniture shop.

Went up to see a cabinet that looked better in the picture than in the flesh. Having said that the furniture is very on trend, not particulary my style but attractive enough.

The furniture is so good, and excellent value for money. But more than that, the service is exceptional. Kieran, Stephen and the team went above and beyond to get the sofa delivered to me within ONE HOUR! So refreshing to see there are still people and companies committed to customer service!

Poor customer service. I am very disappointed as the staffs here are normally very helpful. I went to the shop today for an armchair but when I asked her some questions, she showed no interest to serve and told me that I can order online myself. I was wondering what she is there for?!

I have just purchased a 4k sofa from BSH. There is a fault on one of the cushions which they are refusing to take responsibility for. Really disappointed with the customer service.

Do not shop from here. We have bought 8 of these chairs and 3 of them have broken within a few months of purchase. Poorly designed desk and office chair! Poor quality and made to a low standard. We have contacted Baker and Stonehouse and they have done nothing and have said that there is nothing they can do because these chairs have been used in an office. It is really bad for a desk / office chair to not be able to be used in an office. Please do not purchase from here, worst customer service and no one told us that we could not use these office chairs in an office when we purchased 8. Awful service and Poor quality products. Really terrible company to deal with. I purchased a table for over £1000. Waited months for it to be delivered when I was finally called to book in the delivery. I had my date and on the day they gave me a 3 hour delivery window. Just half an hour before then I received a phone call from the delivery driver to say that my table had been damaged in the van and would have to be returned to the warehouse for repair then sent back out. They are utter trash. Expensive prices but the cheapest and lowest quality of customer care. You can also buy their products from Fenwick and get cheaper delivery than these thieves will charge you direct. Would honestly avoid them completely.
