I decided to try Banks after being disappointed with my recent experiences with a chain opticians and I?m so glad I did. I received an incredibly thorough sight test from Uma who was warm, friendly, super professional and extremely knowledgable. She put me completely at ease, taking time and care throughout and helped me successfully manage some of the parts of the sight test I?ve previously struggled with. 5 Stars well deserved.

Today I had an eye infection that needed treatment and this practice did an over the phone consultation that enabled me to get a treatment without delay when all other local practices couldn?t. Thanks. I?ll be back as it was such great service.

Absolutely fantastic experience every time I come here. I've been receiving services from Banks for 16 years now watched it grow from strength to strength. The new interior is gorgeous with a warm and modern feel. Booking eye tests are simple and quick. There has always been reasonable availability (nothing more than two weeks) when I book my eye tests. They send confirmation via phone after you book and reminders via messages the day before.The staff are honest and hospitable, extremely accommodating, and understanding. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted with a friendly face. I have the most fun choosing frames. They have a beautiful and diverse selection of frames to suit all financial situations. Olivia is full of energy and just makes your experience 10 times better. Gently honest about the frames that suit your face and so kind. Maeve is a really good optometrist, very knowledgeable, confident, and reassuring.Sp*****vers has nothing on Banks!

I went on an NHS Minor Eye Conditions appointment. Where other opticians had either stopped doing this service or couldn't see me for a week, they squeezed me in. The optician was thorough, knowledgeable and friendly. She gave me clear advice and booked me for another appointment to check on improvement. Would certainly recommend.

Helpful, courteous and friendly service from all Banks staff. Obvious time management skills enabled them to fit me into their busy schedule and deal with my emergency at short notice. Uma Patel is outstanding as an optometrist. Knowledgeable, competent and professional but also emotionally intelligent with her clients. I will definitely use Banks from now on for all my eye needs.

My daughter had check up with optometrist for glasses and contact lenses. When I phoned for appointment, I was told that all will cost £70, and just a day after when my daughter went there, they asked her to pay £95.They never give her prescription for contact lenses, because she was moving away for the University , and there was no time to try the trial lenses. I told them we are going to buy contact lenses online, no need for trial, but we never got the prescription we paid for. My daughter phoned them again and asked trhem at least if they can email her the trial lenses, and still nothing. She was told that it is not good for the business if she does not buys lenses from them.They just take money from you, and you don't get the service you pay for just because you planning to buy glasses or lenses from someone else.
