Restaurant in the middle of Covent Garden? More like Heathrow Airport dinning experience. What an abysmal place. Main course portions were TINY, they were just about large enough to be considered a starter but for £25-£30 pricing I left not only bankrupt but starving too. The food arrives within 3 minutes of ordering, some may be happy with that but for me it was mounting evidence that the small portions were not only extortionate - they were microwaved too.
If you?ve got money to burn on microwave meals at Michelin prices go for it. If you have self-respect AVOID.

The restaurant exuded a vibrant atmosphere, beautifully illuminated and bustling with energy.
As we walked in, we were greeted by our delightful hostess, Angeli. True to her name, she radiated warmth and kindness, her smile illuminating the space around her. Her genuine hospitality added an extra touch to what was already an extraordinary dining experience. She truly is a treasure! Wade, the doorman, effortlessly engaged guests with his friendly demeanor, setting a welcoming tone from the very moment we arrived.
Our culinary adventure began with an assortment of starters that were nothing short of mouthwatering; I can still taste the exquisite flavors lingering in my memory. Embracing my love for variety, we chose to share three delectable dishes:
1. Sautéed King Prawns, elegantly presented and drizzled with a rich roasted tomato sauce, infused with garlic, chili, and garnished with a bouquet of wild rocket.
2. The Tian of Dressed Dorset Crab, which was a symphony of brown and white crab meat artfully combined with creamy avocado, refreshing pickled cucumber, and served with crispy crostini.
3. Baked Camembert, a heavenly treat complemented by drizzles of truffled honey and accompanied by garlic-toasted crostinis, exuding an irresistible aroma.
For our main course, we savored Moules Marinière & Frites, a delightful medley of tender mussels cooked in a sumptuous white wine broth with shallots, cream, and fresh parsley. It was utterly divine! I couldn?t help but recall the flavors from Glogge Egge in Zurich; Balthazar?s version was equally satisfying, if not more so. We also indulged in the Roasted Rump of Lamb, beautifully cooked and served alongside velvety smoked pommes purée, crispy pancetta, earthy mushrooms, and sweet baby onions?simply exquisite!
To cap off this magnificent meal, we indulged our sweet tooth with a couple of desserts that were spectacular:
1. The Paris Brest, crafted with a luscious hazelnut praline, rich vanilla ice cream, and delicately topped with white chocolate Chantilly?a true masterpiece.
2. The Rum Baba, a delightful concoction of macerated strawberries nestled in creamy vanilla, drenched in a tantalizing rum syrup that was irresistibly tempting.
All in all, it was an unforgettable dining experience that left me yearning for my next visit!

Been before but this time was for Saturday brunch.
As ever the service was excellent, although maybe not at Parisian levels of efficiency it's a bit friendlier.
Croque Monsieur, Eggs Benedict and Waffles all excellent and superb frites.
Given it was midday on Saturday in August it was too manic with manic kids, but it wasn't exactly a relaxing experience, but you don't go there for that.

We randomly ran into this place and went inside after seeing the pris fixe. It was a delicious choice with every disj tasting good. The portion sizes were also generous.

Experienced a very average to poor meal at Balthazar. We shared the prawns, gem salad and cheeseburger. All of which were wildly average in quality, but based on their cost, I would rate them as disappointing. The service was super rushed and absent.
I went as I have loved going in New York, but you can skip this experience in London. The room is good, and oysters at the bar might be fun. But, there are 1000s of great restaurants in London, don't bother with this one.

Terrible. Atrocious service. Unhelpful and deceitful. Lied when asked about a general enquiry and very standoffish with service. Also weren?t helpful when we tried to get an explanation into a price mixup. Do not recommend. Very, very unhappy.

Although the dining hall can be very noisy the atmosphere is lively and has a positive vibe. Service is excellent and very attentive. The presentation of our food was 'Insta' worthy and very tasty.
