First visit and can honestly say the best opticians I have been to. They were both professional and friendly, explaining clearly all the different tests, as well as giving good advice re glasses frames, without trying to sell the most expensive options. I have a complex prescription paired with unusual optic nerves and an astigmatism. I've been wearing glasses since I was four, contact lenses since I was 17. I've seen many different opticians over the years (am now aged 41) and can say with some authority that Terry is the best optician I've ever found. The care and patience he shows is extraordinary. I've witnessed Terry with other customers while waiting to be seen and have been so impressed, particularly at his interactions with little'uns. He genuinely cares about making them feel comfortable wearing glasses. I would recommend Avery Hill Opticians to anyone and everyone.

In 2019 I switched to Avery Opticians from Specsavers and have found it a much better experience.Today Terry gave me a check up and an eye medical reference for my Taxi Driving License and would not accept a fee.Would highly recommend.

Great optician, would recommend. Eye test went smoothly with all necessary precautions taken with respect to COVID, and Terry outlined clearly the spectacle lens options and pricings with no hard sell. He and the receptionist on duty at the time also took the time to assist me in selecting frames and were really very helpful and polite.

Very friendly and knowledgeable. Felt totally safe having my eyes tested during this pandemic- everything is thoroughly cleaned beforehand and also wiped down during the process. My son has also needed glasses since the age of two, and Terry and his team have made the whole process easy for us.
