After having a look around with my daughter today, we picked up a lovely jumpsuit and a Christmas jumper both on sale. I then set my eyes in a pair of boots from Zara, in a big shelf full of other branded shoes where it stated SALE £2.50 a pair in big red letters! I then asked one of the assistants, a really nice young girl, to give me the other shoe as it wasn't in the shelf and asked if they were for that price as on the boot the ticket said £5. The assistant confirmed yes they have been put all on sale as to get rid of the old stock. So fair enough I said what a bargain and she gave me the other boot and she was all the way lovely to me. I then went to pay it and it was Kathy on the cahier. As I gave her the 3 items she asked me straight away if I had money to put on the money box. I said no sorry I only have my card mo cash. She done a face lol and from then she just treated me differently. As I left the shop I realised in my accounts I paid to much as the jumpsuit was £5 the jumper £3 and the boots £2.50. But I paid £13 and I should have paid £10.50. So I went back in to Kathy and asked "did you over charge me"? Oh my God what did I say lol! No matter what tried to say Kathy made sure I couldn't speak by interrupting me every time by saying "do you want to return them" over and over while holding my receipt and not even apologising, because I asked and everything and was told for sure they are only £2.50. I entered the store never went to the front window and the boots were in the shelf since I got in. So its their mistake not mine. Something that can be even proved on Cctv if we want to go that far. I was treated by this lady Kathy like I was poor and a child. Her tone of voice was as to if talking to her children which I am not one of them. I took the receipt of her hands and as I was leaving the young assistant whispered in fear, to me "I'm sorry". Thank you for that, late but thanks because it's not that I wanted a refund and didn't even had the option to ask lol but Kathy Dear give up the front desk job and go to the back of the shop please. You don't have any customer service skills. You can't even smile. Your tone of voice is just unbearable. All aboard I support your cause and will keep donating and visiting your other stores. What I don't need is an employee or volunteer of yours make me feel that I want to return my item because of £2.50. I'm not that poor thank the Lord, because I shop at charity shops, I'm a hard working foreign single mom that deserves respect like everyone. What I am not obligated is to take a disappointed and disgusted face and a stinky attitude because I didn't donate on the blue box at the cashier or/ and because I made a fair query about my bill!!!!Never been treated like this in a charity shop, usually is always lovely warm people. That's why I really love to shopping in charity shops, as you always get to talk about bargains etc! This was not a good experience. Uffff rant over...
