I experienced extremely poor service at the TSB Leytonstone branch. The staff were unhelpful and disinterested, complicating simple transactions. Long wait times and poor communication added to the frustration. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this branch based on my experience

May I just start this review with: "She saved my life".I had been a costumer of Lloyds TSB Group before the division, and never needed much support until post pandemic.Long story short, after dealing with personal issues, I decided to take the next step and go back to my local brunch, in Leytonstone and seek help.I was greeted by Danielle Graham, Money Expert for TSB, and may I want to address, I have never seen such a professional level and personal touch in going through the next level in assisting my case thanks to a small loan. It helped me recovering my life back through all I've lost.At the moment in time, her words were '' let's start up your plan'' were followed by mine: '' if you start the plan, I'll do the work''.Firtsly, I want to state that Danielle is a professional, dedicated, ethical, one of a kind example for many, and also to address that I have found my personal manager. I will always be not only eternally grateful for her recommendations, but also for her guidance at a pivotal moment in my life.Forever grateful,Fabio

Personal banking on the high street in the UK has been going south for a long time. This bank is no exception. However, on Friday 24/06/2022, I arrived at the branch before 15:30 for a counter service and the door would not open or was locked. Not impressed, given the the stated hours are up to 17:00 on TSB's own website.

After confirming evidence req to take to branch for a large money transfer upon arrival told to take a seat by assist with arm bandages and she will find out who will be able to deal with my issue. That was her last interaction with me whilst I could see her going back a forth on the other side and coming out to deal with another cust at the cash machine whilst not even looking again in my direction (great cust service). Someone casually asked who I was waiting to see and then said he knew all about it was taken to room where I was interrogated as to where the large sum of money came from dispite it being in my account for some mths and no questions asked. It was suggested that when I opened the account I did not give my very little used 2nd name( which many people do not use themselves ) I replied I did not remember as it was possibly 18years when opened.Although I had evidence proving who I was and the funds were legitimately obtained due to there being another name on my driving license the manager (Ameen) which was now called in to verify my papers decided that because the account did not have a name which I do not use like many other people I had not provided sufficient evidence for him and I needed a passport which I pointed out to him was not compulsory and also that a passport would likely say the same names therefore we would be at an empass so what would I be able to do because time was of the essence and I needed to move the money to make a house purchase asp. This was met by the unacceptable shrugging of the shoulders by them both and so called manager saying ? he did not know?!After leaving the premises in disgust the manager accused me of banging the non soft close assisted door to the room? Outside I called The so-called customer service and as expected due to prev experiences with TSB and their poor service they contacted the branch where the manager(Ameen) accused me of being aggressive etc bearing in mind that he and the other gentleman there are either their late 20s or early 30s and I am 63 years old.I was told by the cust service that they had spoken him and they did not want me back in the branch despite their own poor cust service(see other reviewers experiences written on this Google review site . Asked to make an official complaint about the way I was spoken to and handled at this branch especially by this so-called manager and it was said to me that in their opinion there was ?no banking error?, upon asking what that meant I was not given a satisfactory answer although I did say that in my opinion there was a serious training/ customer service error and additional training should be made for the staff there.I mentioned to customer service that a work around maybe to open a new account and transfer the money in there and when he came back to me after speaking with the so called manager (Ameen) he said the manager had suggested exactly that dispite not offering me any solutions whilst in the branch apart from a shrug of shoulders proving that he was being vindictive and obstructive. Here?s the funny thing, upon getting home and looking for evidence to take to another branch a ?eureka? moment struck me and I decided to look for old paper statements that was sent to me I found a paper statement which was dated June 2014 and we are correspondence to me clearly indicated that they had registered to initials and my surname I then looked at Google and found out that the bank had emerged and split with Lloyds in 2013 even though I had stayed with TSB as I was always with them, thus proving conclusively that the omission of one of my initials had nothing to do with me but holy to do with the inept this of TSP and their systems. Do I think I will get an apology from TSB? (Dream on)I have made it quite clear and have complained to the banking ombudsman with regards to the way that I have been dealt with and I will be like many others have stated on here moving my account to somewhere else, not that the people at this branch especially are too bothered about.Really wish half a star was an option!
