Always eat at Toby Carvery in Snaresbrook but now totally understaffed so even though tables are available we are having to wait even to be seated.. it would be great if the management could staff the restaurant

Beware of hidden costs. No mention of a price on the menu for Pigs in blankets £3.99 and a large plate £1.99. The large plate includes 2 sausages, apparently. The only other way to get a sausage with your Chrismas meal is to get the Pigs in Blankets. 2 sausages from one large platter, shared between 4 people would be much better value than one portion of Pigs in Blankets. Otherwise, I enjoyed the roast and veg which was good value. It just really annoys me when prices aren't adequately displayed. While commenting - I found the custard a bit too sweet and couldn't taste the rhubarb in the crumble.Parking: No provision for cycle parking, which is a shame when they have such a large carpark and a lot ofoutside space

Use to be a great place, today 23/12/23 after. Along time I came for a carvery, they have became very petty with the amount of meat the cut , it is as thin as a paper , I asked the person and gave the most random answer saying is the rule, it is not like we are begging for meat, we are paying for it . Very bad

Went for Christmas dinner, and it was a lovely afternoon. Good food and brilliant happy staff, even though they had given up their Christmas day with their own families to be there, they were helpful, friendly and full off Christmas

Went for Xmas Dinner yesterday, after being left waiting by a senior member of staff for 20 mins, the wonderful Melody went above and beyond the call of duty for us. She really took care of me and my friend. Along with her cheery nature, nothing was ever a problem. A real credit to the team at Toby Carvery Snaresbrook. Will definitely be returning in the future. Have a lovely Xmas

Meat was delicious, maybe a little stingy. The vegetables not so good, they had no mash or cauliflower cheese and the other vegetables including the roasts were all dried out. Two of the desserts we ordered were meant to come with strawberries and when we asked was told if we had them then we would of put them on! Overall our visit was disappointing especially because it was a birthday meal.

Booked table for 8.55pm as none available before. Had 15 mins to eat food, naught minutes to order desert . Not told at table desserts not given after 9.15pm. Manager was only concerned about kitchen closed, chefs stopped dishing out.Not t a great customer service & I didn?t realise u need chefs to serve ice cream .How are you going to offer a chance to turn my awful experience around?

After moving away from the area and not being near to a Toby Carvery, I was really looking forward to a visit here when we were back for a few days. It did not disappoint. The staff were all friendly and accommodating, the place is clean and cosy and the food was perfect! A decent serving of meat, gorgeous Yorkshires, great roasties, lots of lovely veggies and devine gravy. Thank you for living up to my high expectations!Dietary restrictions: I have to avoid artificial sweeteners and the server was helpful and let me check the ingredients of my drink choice. I find this is best, as serving staff probably won't know the names of all the sweeteners and what to avoid.

Lovely celebration meal with family in an excellent restaurant. Many thanks to the staff, especially Garry for his thoughtfulness and friendliness and for his advice on what to eat and drink there. Looking forward to returning.

We?ve been going to this particular Toby?s for around 20 years. We?ve seen the ups and downs, the good days and the bad. Unfortunately, today was definitely down there with the worst. The restaurant was very quiet compared to what we?re used to. The staff seemed very downbeat and had no time for conversation with the customers. The food quality was definitely low but the bill was definitely high. Desert was definitely something else. £5 for a small bowl of rice pudding is extortionate. The wife?s chocolate fudge cake was missing a layer and was a small portion at best, also £5. Won?t be going back unfortunately.

The food was good value, the atmosphere, ambiance and layout was very conducive to our enjoyment. I was a little surprised that cod and chips were not on the menu, as I am a pescatarian, but understand that I am in a minority. If you are not doing this already in selected branches, perhaps you could experiment with other fish or fake meat 'cost viable' options, to compliment the existing carbohydrates on offer. It might be nice to offer oat milk as well as regular milk. I think it has a longer shelf life as well.Parking: Free for three hours, just make sure you register your number plate on the portal screen attached to the bar counter inside the restaurant.
