Worst Asda I've ever visited. I am a sporadic visitor here, my past 3 visits have been exceptionally bad. Today (14/11/23), I struggled to get a basket for my shop because a member of staff was in the way of them, he was having a chat with the security guard. Not the most sensible place to stand! This was after having to drive around a sinkhole size crater pothole in the Asda carpark. With no warning signs to protect customers. When it's dark, someone is likely to get seriously injured tripping in it, customer vehicles could be damaged driving into it too. It is really worrying!I went on to do a grocery shop, arrived at the self service where the till crashed when I tried to use gift card as a payment method. The lady who appeared to be in charge of the self service checkouts wasn't very helpful at first, I had to actually say to another staff member that she was being rude before she actually returned and improved her service. We attempted using a different self service checkout but the gift card wouldn't work because it was still locked up from the first transaction on the other till which had crashed. She said the money usually goes straight back onto the card but crashed till wasn't responding and there was nothing she could do.I was sent with a suspended transaction receipt from the second checkout to the customer service desk where there was a heated argument taking place between the customer service lady and a disgruntled customer. I work in a customer service role and when faced with a situation like that, you can't just keep on arguing. You need to escalate it, the disgruntled customer was steadfastly refusing to move on and I was just left waiting, again! I would have given her the number for customer care for some mediation or got the manager down. With no resolution forthcoming, it just isn't fair on other customers waiting like that. I was never even acknowledged by the customer service woman. I ended up emptying my reusable shopping bag on floor in front of the checkout and walking out in frustration. When I drove past after, I could see the two of them continuing to argue. A complete waste of time and effort for me.A few weeks before, on my previous visit to the Kingston Asda I had another bad experience, again on the self service using a gift card. The card only covered part of the payment and the checkout didn't like this, it went onto a maintenance screen and a man came over to help. I explained what had happened and that I needed to pay the outstanding balance after the gift card part payment. This guy was so arrogant and said I'd not paid anything by gift card, he was unhelpful and argumentative for no reason. He was treating me with suspicion. All he needed to do was dial in his code to get me back onto the payment screen. Not be disrespectful for no reason. Once he did that I pointed out that it was showing the part payment on the screen. He was incompetent because he said he'd checked and I hadn't. He wasn't interested and walked off. Another example of poor service in this branch! The previous visit I had to the store before that was to pick up a click and collect order from the Asda/George website. I extended the order because I was on holiday and still had over a week left to pick up my order. I typed in my order number to the machine and it said a member of staff would bring my order. I waited until a lady appeared and she told me that my order had been sent back because I didn't collect it. I showed her my order extension email and she insisted the store weren't informed about it. She said she's in charge of scanning out the orders when they've not been collected and she remembered sending my parcel back the day before. I asked why I'd not been informed about what happened, I didn't get an email. She said it's not their fault. I explained I'd had a long wasted journey and that it wasn't acceptable. She walked off, saying she couldn't help. I just stood there and rang customer care who ca

Big supermarket with a good amount of aisle space. It is clear where to enter, where to get a basket/trolley, where to check out, and where to leave.

Although it was one of the best with prices, Asda is becoming more expensive than many other supermarkets.

I have always been pleased with Asda for many years... I find their fresh meat products more often than not of good value. But of late, I would say in the past year the quality of the roast joints, puzzling and questionable. A silverside or a top rump, appears to be cuts compressed together. Sometimes very odd looking very fatty ?marbling? and odd looking not meaty but pale ....I tried talking to a lady at customer service counter and she told me to complain to head office, not helpful at all. Your lamb and pork is good, and I really miss the rack of lamb which has not been available for many a years! Please look into this as it really is worrying . The texture of the meat odd, there?s no bite, fatty and mushy(soft). Generally you are a **** for me!

Had a bad and good experience in here this visit.Good : -* They had the peperami pizza rolls in there, in abundance! ?????* They have a new range of west Indian food. I tried rice and peas, and a curried mutton. I was feeling lazy! This food was in portion size and taste was really amazing for a ready meal. Almost authentic! It outshone a few restaurants I have tried all over south London! *Bonus find*Bad :-* I got apprehended by the security guard who rudely asked me for my receipt. I told him I didn't get one, I showed him my purchase on my Google pay, and he let me go. I was thoroughly annoyed and it has put me off going there again. Although I may still go for the things I really like. If I must ?

My mum came back from this place crying because she was mistreated by an employee of this establishment. What kind of training does Asda give their employees that are extremely rude? My mum didn't catch the employees name, however, shes a black woman in her 60's who was working at checkout between the hours of 19:00-20:00 on Saturday. I will definately file a complain against this woman. Aparently she was extremely hostile towards my mother, my mother is an elderly that can barely move, my mother asked her if she could move the stuff closer to her so she could reach them and pack them, the woman decided to throw all her shopping very violently towards my mother and she started ridiculing my mother. This is unacceptable and I will be coming to Asda tomorrow to file a complaint myself. I've got the receipt and I will get to the bottom of this! If you're an elderly who struggles with their shopping don't go to this place. Ironically the employee was an elderly as well, you'd think she'd be compassionate.

Massive Asda. I only go in there to use the toilets when I am early to a visit to my dentist on Cambridge Road. Imagine it is a good place for a one stop big shop, seems to stock most things.

Good store which usually has everything I need. Sometimes, some of the items I want aren't stocked up enough and it can also get a bit crowded as it's not the biggest supermarket. Opening hours really need to be longer too. Other than that, normally it's straight-in, straight-out with this supermarket. A smooth, easy shopping experience. Never really seem to have a problem with the George Click & Collect either.

Good store, but not very well stocked. Now that there's a Lidl across the street, Asda has to up their game here.

Experienced the worst customer service ever at the Kiosk in Asda Kingston from a horrible, rude, disgustingly mannered, offensive, shouty and aggressive Customer Service Assistant called DRITA.I would give zero stars if I could!DRITA first of all had her back to me so ignored me for a long period of time. When DRITA failed to apologise when she turned around.DRITA then mismanaged the transaction and attempted to give me the incorrect change!DRITA again failed to apologise.DRITA then had the audacity to blame me as a customer just because she couldn't undertake 'basic maths' with the aid of a till!DRITA started shouting and using abusive language!I asked to speak to a Manager and DRITA refused FIVE times!DRITA held up the queue due to her aggressive and hostile behaviour and failed to apologise, I had to take the responsibility of apologising to the customers due to DRITA's failure!DRITA thought it would be best to call security instead of a Manager, however, the Security Guard in a professional manner was not interested in an issue where there was not any danger, risk or safe guarding required, therefore Drita abused and wasted the time of security and again held up the queue for nothing.DRITA was argumentative and offensive. When the Manager Kala came over she was useless, unhelpful and failed to resolve the problem.Kala failed to take ownership and responsibility of the situation.Kala as a manager;- has very low confidence,- has very low presence,- failed to take ownership and responsibility,- failed to listen to me as the customer,- failed to find a clear resolution,As a customer, I do not see the value to Kala holding the position of Store Manager when it is assumed that she just floats around. Absolutely no leadership skills! Both DRITA and Kala FAILED to demonstrate any of the ASDA Values;- Failed to deliver a high level of service to me as a customer.- Failed to show respect to me as a customer.- Failed to strive for excellence.- Failed to act with integrity.Kala requires to be re-trained!DRITA is beyond re-training and with regret is a lost cause.Reason being, is that I was advised in confidence and off the record that DRITA had an incident prior to me visiting with another customer, therefore, one would assume that DRITA is a problem member of staff! It was also said that DRITA was in a BAD mood. If that is the case, why take it out on customers?!In this case, the Duty Manager Kala failed to address this poor conduct and behaviour and should have sent DRITA home to avoid inflicting upset on Asda customers. It took for Husan to use his Pro-active, Professional and Positive approach the demonstrate skillfully the above four values in order to move matters forward; of which he should be commended for.I only went in to use PayPoint!DRITA represents everything which is bad / wrong about ASDA;- Poor Customer Service- Failing to value customers- Bad behaviour and conductDO NOT SHOP IN ASDA!!! - AVOID!ONLY USE FOR TOP UP SHOPPING IF REQUIRED.GO TO LIDL INSTEAD WHICH IS LOCATED ACROSS THE ROAD!

I have showed a proper id but 50 year old looking lady with black hair working on Saturday did not approve it. It was just purchasing an energy drink and I was clearly not under 16, but took my drinks away without my permission.

It's a good store so you can buy stuff you really need, some items are at good price and some r not, but staff isnt always helpful, If you have issues, you make a complaint online you will never get response.
